2014 Draft Big Board ...deep class, 3 picks?

So many good players and potential future all-star players in this draft, but I'll wait and see if they will live up to the hypes.

Wiggins, Parker, Smart, Randle, Gordon, Andrew Harrison, or Exum will improve this team. That's 7 guys and we will be able to land one of them. I really think we'll end up with the Detriot pick and I would love to grab a McGary, Embiid, Aaron Harrsion, McAdoo, or Austin there.

i dont get why we signed jefferson we couldve drafted noel, he wouldnt play half the year, nd we could suck then get wiggins...

SMFH!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont get why you made such a dumb statement. As much as I liked Noel, he's not anywhere close near being an offensive player Jefferson is and probably will never even come close to it. Lastly, Cho and MJ arnt trying to fully "tank" the season for Wiggins. We've seen many times in the past where the worst team doesnt end up getting the no1 pick. We're in a position to get better for the future and likely will still be picking in the top5-7. Wiggins is talented but aint the only intriguing prospect in this draft.

The legend of Wiggins has also grown a little too far IMO.  People saying he's the best prospect since LeBron, are seemingly comparing him to LeBron.  He's one hell of a prospect and the probable #1 pick, but the drop off to Randle/Parker/Smart isn't that much. There's even been chatter lately from some ESPN guys that Randle could potentially be the #1 pick.

Barring a miracle, the Horncats should be in position to land a Top 5-7 pick as chuck said. If the ping pong balls cooperate (and the conspiracy theorist in me says they will), we could land one of the top 3 guys. If not, and we end up around 6-7...we're still getting a potential All-Star.  I'm not a fan of the Jefferson contract, but I'd rather have Al/Zeller than Noel.

We'd be lucky to land Randle. The way this team is built Randle could be the better fit anyway. Another pick and roll guy to play with Kemba and you can play him in ISO as well. His physicality/skill combo would be a nice complement to Zellers skill/athleticism, and MKGs physicality/athleticism. Give me a gunner with the next pick and we can stop talking about lottery picks.

Wiggins is the next superstar in the league. we will regret signing a 29yr old center who is just as bad on D as he is good on O

If Al is as bad as you claim, then we'll still suck with him and won't miss out on Wiggins.

Just like having the worst winning percentage in NBA history kept us from missing out on Anthony Davis. And the second worst record in the NBA kept us from having the first pick this year...

LOL this....

    • This isn't directed at CRA or anyone in particular, but as someone who works with large datasets every day, it's funny how you can construe data to fit any particular narrative.  I mean this is just a hilarious tweet, a stat nobody has ever heard of, then some percentages with QB name. No numerator/denominator to provide context, no explanation of the formula, just another stathead loser with a mustache parroting whatever he wants.  So much of this stuff is worthless, especially in a sport like Football.
    • 3rd straight openers of horrific football featuring Bryce.   and if the games weren't dated....I bet someone unfamiliar with Bryce/us  couldn't figure out which one was his rookie season just off the 3 openers.
    • I've watched everybody that says TLaw outplay Bryce also completely ignore Nijman giving up immediate pressures and mistakes by other players on the offense. I have no attachment to Bryce. My attachment is to facts, and the facts are that he dealt with more than TLaw did. As a fellow Clemson fan, I've got a much softer spot in my heart for TLaw and the NCG he won his freshman year than I do Bryce and his rough two seasons to start his career in Carolina.  Have you gone back and watched the all-22 with the intent to figure out what was happening rather than sticking with your initial assessment? Give it a shot. It's much more rewarding than making up conspiracies to continue an agenda.
