going conservative and still getting the W

We saw it today with Minnesota going conservative against Pittsburgh, then again with Buffalo against Baltimore. Both Minnesota and Buffalo pulled off the wins.

What makes us different? Rivera will never understand the killer instinct and will go conservative every single time.

I know we have the talent (at least in most defensive positions). Is it our defensive scheme? Are our defensive players also coached to go conservative (ie, don't go for the pick - just make a tackle)?

I'm worried Rivera also saw these conservative calls and says "well, those guys won, so it's the right thing to do"

Well Houston let off the gas in their 2nd half. Look what it got them.

fair enough. I didn't watch that game so I don't know how it went down. I did see that highlight and it was a very dumb throw.

Seattle is typically a team that turns up the intensity in the second half.

By letting off the gas, I mean scoring points. You won't beat seatle that way. They looked a lot like us out there. Can't blame the loss on just a few plays. They lost because they stoppes scoring.

Lynch got all his rushing yards in the first half, Wilson was under a 50% completion rate and threw for a buck-15 or so and Houston was up 20-3. Seattle never had a lead to "step on their necks..."

Seattle "escaped" with a win due to stupid play calling and a terrible throw by Cotton.

Houston sucks!! In the first half, they had a good running game opening up passing plays. In the second half, they came throw throw throw for whatever reason and abandon the running game. And Schaub throws a stupid pick six, he basically gave the game to the cheathawks.
