He was after week 3.

No, he wasn't the 4th best RB in the NFL

He accumulated the the 4th most rushing yards. All other production disregarded. Other RBs had more overall production....list was longer than 3.

A lot of teams were also getting a lot more out of their collective RBs as well. Which is really what matters .

Williams stat was in large part bc our 2 other RBs were injured. A team like HOU was getting better production from their RBs

Williams has been good. He isn't paid for good.

Lets see.  Cut Williams who is on track to run for 1400 yards this year and will cost 6 million next year in cap space to keep Stewart who will cost 6 million and can't even stay on the field.  The better question is whether we cut Stewart.  I guess that depends on how much dead cap space he will cost if we cut him since no one would trade for him.

He certainly was the most improved running back after Chud left.

BTW, I was not shocked at all to see Chud trade his premier running back for a box of chocolates..

A first round pick is a box of chocolates now? I'm confused about what is good value now. Especially for a running back.

I understand your confusion, let me make my statement more clear for you and those who may be confused like you.

I think a first round pick is like a box of chocolates because you don't know what you are going to get.

You may get a Cam Newton or you could get a Jeff Ota..you just never know..

Yeah, I think Indy got raped on that deal.

Richardson has been very ordinary. Getting a first round pick for an average running back in this day and age is extraordinary. Lombardi did good.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
