Luke Kuechly #1 MLB

I love Luke and am grateful he is on the Panther's team.  His anticipation and vision of the field are off the charts.  He is also a great leader who makes his teammates better players. But there are two dimensions to his game that are not elite (yet?).

(1) He has yet to prove himself as a gifted pass blitzer / rusher.

(2)  Although he is a solid, sure tackler, He is not a light's out hitter who instills fear in the other team's runner like a Ray Lewis.  In a way I am glad he is not overly physical, because the really hard hits take a toll on the brain and I want this guy around a long time.

Luke is RARELY blitzes. Vikings game was the second time I saw him blitz all season.

I like that fact that Keek is not a Big hitter he is just extremely good at rapping up and taking down the ball carrier, he would be more prone to injury for always going for big hits to me and having huge DTS in front of him will help ensure he stays healthy for most of his career compared to other LBs

Crazy to think we could have got that Kiko dude

He's obviously playing great football but he was a second rounder. It would be pretty crazy to draft another MLB that high after keek and Beason still around at the time.

I loved the KK pick but with Star having fallen I thought it'd be Keenan Allen for sure. He's doing well in SD.

If I was GM id have already drafted Jeffery and Allen to grow with Cam. PFF had Short graded positively so its not like he's trash tho. Amini looked to be improving prior to the ACL, so its not like they're a pair of Hurney 2nd round busts. I'd have just done differently.

I liked Kaseem Green for OLB in round 4, thought he'd be gone by then, he showed well in preseason but I think he and Bostic are just debth in CHI right now. Anderson is playing well too. Was the money saved worth it? Guess we were going in a different direction at LB anywho.

Still lots of time for Klien and Barner to develop as late rounders too. Really wish Kug was out there too but keep in mind Zona lost Cooper early and Pit lost DeCastro last year, these things happen.

Watching Fauria makes me wanna puke too, how on earth did he go undrafted. He's exactly what Cam needed in the redzone. SMH.

BTW, Kiko had some off field issues too, DUI and broke into someones house and passed out drunk. Not that people can't turn things around.

I drafted Fauria in my mock off-season. B. Waters too.

Me too, he was a fav of mine. 6'8" with 12 Tds last year. Watched UCLA last year, he stood out like a sore thumb.

I actually had Barner in round 4 too. Vaccaro and KK 1 and 2 near draft day.

Baktiari was rated like a second or third rounder, but he'd still be a backup if GB werent hit by injuries. Bulaga hit IR and Sherrod seems a bust. The other guys arent much better than Bell either. Would certainly be better to have a T to push Bell than a G on IR, but thats alot of hindsight. Ellington looks decent alright but Barner had a toe injury, give him more time before passing judgement, plus we have way more debth with 28 returning. Barner came from the zone read so he seemed like a natural fit.

Im going to eat crow.  When he was drafted, I was very upset.  My friend(Redskins fan) was the one who told me it was a great pick and Kuechly would be a stud.  I didnt believe him one bit.

Kuechly is a stud folks.  Im glad the numbers prove hes the best MLB bc I dont see anyone better.
