Kris Durham made me think of our golden-haired boy (for obvious reasons).

top dawg

Kris Durham, a.k.a. White Chocolate, is making a little noise since being activated off the practice squad in Motown.  He made me think of Brenton Bersin. Is Bersin that bad that we couldn't have activated him off the practice squad when we released Armanti Edwards?  I mean, he did seem to have a little something in training camp and preseason. We have signed him to the PS a couple of times. Durham was a PS guy that some thought would never see the light of day, but has come on and had solid production the last couple of weeks with Megatron on the mend. With Lester coming off the practice squad and doing a good job, is it not conceivable to think that  the coaches have Bersin buried on the PS while Hixon and  a newly acquired McNutt ride the pine.  I wonder what gives with Bersin.  He probably knew the offense better than Hixon before Hixon was acquired, and he certainly has to know it better than McNutt.  Is he just PS material, or is he being overlooked because of a lack of perceived athleticism in regards to the other guys?

I, I uh, I um, how do it put this?....I can't say I have ever seen anything out of Bersin.  His mom and dad were nice to meet at TC but I can't say why he is even on the practice squad.

Just my 2 cents.

So, why is he here then?  For the second year in a row? G-man is supposed to be the Godfather talent evaluator.  Sometimes the answer is on the roster, huh? Is Bersin that useless?

I'm on your side as far as Panther fans go, but regarding Bersin, your guess is as good as mine.  He looked like hot garbage at Wofford and my only guess is he went and got Jerry a cold beer one time at a neighborhood cookout in 2003.

Well, damn. That explains a lot then. That dashes my expectations, little as they were.

Yep, there was a story about it last season. About his dreams coming true playing for his favorite team growing up, attending games in Richardson's box...etc

He's a practice squad player.

It's not a big deal.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
