Sign Nicks, double dip O line in the draft=rebuild complete and dynasty begins.

Even with Smitty aging a WR corps of Lafell, Ginn and Nicks is scary, we still have Olsen and a deep and stout backfield. Our D is elite, we are pretty much set at both safety spots. If we can draft two stud O lineman and sign Nicks I really cant think of any other glaring weakness we would have. This will be the final puzzles to our rebuild and should make us poised to become perennial playoff contenders.

Probably won't be able to afford Nicks, and with so many expiring contracts, there could be some difficult decisions to be made (i.e. do we resign Hardy, and how much do we offer? Ginn?  Lafell?)...  Also have to consider that we have youth at both OG positions (one of which was a Gettleman selection I'm sure he won't give up on without having seen him play a down), our starting C, and likely our LT for one more season...  I believe we take advantage of the OT crop this year and at least choose our RT (perhaps we let Gross go, and go with rookie bookends, but combined with Silatolu and Gugbila, I doubt we go with that much youth up front)...  I do believe we start to surround Cam with talent, though...  Perhaps choosing 2 WRs and 2 OLs (one for depth, just maybe not rounds 1 AND 2 like this year), as well as someone who can come in and hopefully push for a starting slot in the defensive backfield...

We would be foolish to let Gross go.  He is a quality LT.  He will retire a Panther.  Bell appears to be more of a stopgap that quality RT.  He has problems with decent DEs.  My guess is that double trouble will get broken up, maybe before end of the season.  Depending on draft position and value, we get another weapon for Cam (WR) or an elite OT.  OT and WR in rd 1 and 2.  If a stud CB falls into our lap, maybe.

For the first time in a few seasons, it's October and I am not interested in the offseason yet. :)

I think you have to give Gross a shot at RT before you move away from him altogether. However, I'm more in favor of drafting a guy to play RT until Gross retires. Gross hasn't been the problem.
