With Cutler hurt. Its us vs the Lions for a WC

Not only is Cutler hurt but there is now rumblings of the Bears moving on without him. As the Bucs can attest, nothing puts a franchise in a tailspin like talks of a QB change. The. Bears still have a rough schedule ahead and their horrid D wont carry them. The NFC north doesnt scare me, Cowboys will win the NFC while the rest of that division will be lucky to go 8-8. Over to the NFC west, its pretty much a given a WC spot will come out of the NFC west be it the 9ers or the Seahawks, one will win the division and the other wil get a wild card.

In our division, Falcons MIGHT get to 8-8 and the Bucs, well.. The Bucs. Packers are now the clear favorites for the NFC north, the Bears have the makings of a mid season meltdown. The Lions look pretty legit this season. With either the 9ers or Hawks all but certain to nab a WC spot, it looks as though its game on between us and the Lions for the final WC spot. This might be a year we can get in at 9-7. This is the Lions remaining schedule;

Cowboys

@Bears

@Steelers

Bucs

Packers

@Eagles

Ravens

Giants

@Vikings

You cant trust the Lions. They are major chokers, yes we can be chokers also but the Lions are just as bad. The Bengals just beat them in Detroit. I can see them losing in Pittsburgh, I could see a Ravens loss and even a Eagles upset wouldnt suprise me. Yes the Lions are a pretty good team but they cant be trusted.

I have looked a lot the packers and Lions both have much easier sched. Totally agree 10-6 and we could be sitting at home. I think the easier road is winning the division, we still control that and the saints still play the seahawks and the 9ers. The biggest thing we have to do is win the next two then split with NEw England and SF games then we can really start to hope.

although 5-1, they havent been really impressive. barely got past the Buccs and Falcons early. we match up very, very well against them.

Their D is scary and the O is playing lights out. Now if Graham is out, that changes things. I dont see how the Saints dont win the NFCS, although we win against the Bucs we will only be a game behind

Cincy will win that Division - no real shame in that loss. I don't think you can call the 2013 Lions chokers based on their past teams. If that was the case no one would ever take us for more than losers.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
