No offense but you're the newb.  Signed up in 2013 and have the nerve to call others newbs.  For all we know you're just a bandwagoner, riding the wave of our strong finish at the end of last season.

lmao and thats coming from you who is newer  than me. i was watching the forum for two years before i decided to become a member. and who becomes a bandwagoner to a losing team. get lost

Anybody notice before the first snap of every game Cam blows on his hands says a little prayer or whatever and rubs his hand together before taking the snap? There are some things the guy is going to do every time. Learn to enjoy him.

yea i noticed this and i love it

Ive been watching Espn all day long. Cam is getting alot of praise for his maturity and his dedication to preparation. However multiple people have brung up his 1st down celebration pose( skip bayless, steven A, Herm edwards, etc). I love Cam to death, thats my quarterback but i do not like the first down pose at all, never have and never will. the pose just rubs me the wrong way and im always like why are you doing that now its just a first. I really want him to stop. wanted to know what the huddle thought about this.

P.S  The Superman Celebration its totally deserved for touchdowns

I could care less much like his superman pose if the fans enjoy it. I used to hate touchdown celebrations but Smitty wiping the baby butt turned me around.I do wish Tolbert would work on his dancing

God forbid I critique the perfect and omniscient deity that is Cam Newton.

Point being, celebrating first downs should be beneath a guy like Cam. Again, no problem if he pulls off an incredible scramble, but really? A QB sneak? He's too talented to showboat after a play he should make 10/10 times.

You are right celebrating first downs may be annoying when you are behind by 21 points but just do like me and go get a beer after every first down before he does it .By the 4th quarter you will not care

Honestly, it was new and somewhat fresh during his rookie year. Now it's just lame and overplayed. I mean, every single first down dude? I can understand the Superman on his TD celebrations because that's his "brand". But every single first down bro? WTF?

I guess you're a troll? Because you do know Cam only does it when he has important (long or short) runs for first downs, right?

I didn't like it either initially, and thought it was silly. And now I don't care, especially when Cam doesn't run as much anymore (so you don't see it as often), and when the Panthers are winning.

Plus, as others have said, other QB's, RB's and WR's do silly things/celebrations to (Kaepernick kissing his biceps, etc.), and no one seems to notice or care.

I've probably given you more respectability already than you likely deserved.

Clutch, I understand what you're saying. But I think we have to stop looking at Cam Newton like we look at other QBs. He isn't like them. He's not like any QB we've ever seen. This kid could be a pro bowl TE, WR, RB, FB, heck maybe even DE if he wanted to.

The experts have to stop putting him in a box that's reserved for QBs only. He's much more than that.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
