Sup with Luke?

Good grief this place can be frustrating.  You guys who are actually serious about your criticisms and concerns, name one MLB in the NFL, or a draft prospect, with more skills, all-around better performance, leadership qualities, and more upside (don't forget Luke is just 22 and just now coming off his rookie year) that you would rather have.  His pass coverage skills are already showing substantial improvement, and you can take it to the bank that if he does have trouble shedding blocks, that will get fixed as well.  Other rational posters have already explained why the stats seem off. RTFP's.

What about him showing a lapse in his biggest weakness? The pass over the middle to James? Completely out of place as have up a huge play.

Shitty rookie QB and undrafted rookie RB ran that on him.

And once again it was against St. Louis too.

He slipped on that pass play. Turf might have had something to do with it.

Glennon may be a rookie on a losing team but he is completing his passes at almost 59% with a 2:1 TD to INT ratio. He hasn't been horrible for a rookie.

Saw a stat last night where he has thrown more pass attempts than any other rookie in his first x amount a games which is saying a lot after Lucks season last year.

James has a lot of potential too. Liked him as a late round prospect. He comes from good stock, he's a cousin of Edgerrin James.

Oh I know who mike James is, the U is my college. I said in another thread if any RB was gonna burn us I wouldn't be as mad if it was James.

Still two no name rookies running an effective play on the way in the biz.

everything is being distributed throughout the O and the D this year. They have learned that no matter which player is focused on the others must step up.

That's why we are winning. Take Luke out and Davis and Blackburn will come in. Same on O with Smitty and the 2nd and 3rd receivers.

Yeah, I think last year Luke had almost twice the tackles as Davis last year. This year they are about even.

And don't forget TOP. By us controlling the clock and protecting the ball were giving up fewer drives to the opposition.

Not to mention teams having to almost abandon the run by the second half in like all 4 of our wins. That's less run stops for Luke where the DB's are more likely targeted.

Well Luke slipped on that play, all James had to do was catch the ball and he had about 15 yards automatic. Still managed to chase him down. It could have turned into a Dan Morgan situation the turf was that bad.

While Tampa has lost all 7 games they have been putting up some yards. Hell we kept a guy that had 51 pass attempts under 250 yards. And 150 of those were garbage time at the end of both halves with us in that shitty prevent. In their house. They had less the 50 rushing yards too.

He did it last year. Why not this year?

Kuechly still leads the NFL in tackles since the start of 2012.

Didn't have a good game?.....

We have a top 3 defense....I wonder who runs the show on the field....LOL. He does more than just run around blowing up offenses.

He's been awesome since the day he was drafted

I'm just answering your question. You asked if anyone ever came around a mountain of man like Davin Joseph. I said Keek did it last year. Can't handle the truth, don't ask such silly question. ;)

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
