Cam Getting Love on Total Access

I do like that he's made strides as a WR but I'm quite cautious on him. Ginn has lacked conviction and never liked contact. If he continues this to the end of the year, then I'm a believer.

To be fair, Ginn was really only brought in for his return abilities (which he is a proven threat at) because our special teams had been utter garbage for the last 6 years or so.  Anything he does as a receiver is just gravy.

He's 190 lbs. For as fast as he runs I'm not to upset by him shying away from can't act. The fact is he makes our offense better and has had a huge impact.

Feels good...Keep winning and good things will happen!

I agree. If your a big market (well, a big tv market) today, you can absolutely suck and the national media will have a reason to keep talking about you. Just look at the Cowboys. They could go 0-15 and still have four primetime games and get mentioned every night on SportsCenter. Carolina is simply in a smaller tv market (it's not even debatable) and the national media is simply not spending airtime talking about them, unless they win. That's because when they win, they have to talk about them. On the flip side, it allows teams that the Panthers to stay under the radar for the most part which is a nice plus.  Then again, Dallas no matter how hard they wanted to try could ever stay under the radar. There are pros and cons to each.

They have been giving him love all week, 8 TD's 0 INT's last three games, making better decisions, reading defenses better, etc. He truely is playing better and improving, he just needs to stay consistent.

The ATL game is huge for him, if he stays the course we are looking really good.

I also keep hearing the word "surging" come up as well. It's not just Cam, it's the whole team playing better.

Yeah, I guess Archie Manning, during all those years with the Ain'ts, wasn't "elite".

(P.S. He WAS elite.)

I just looked up Archies stats from back in the day.  He was about as far from "elite" as you can get.  He had fuging terrible numbers.  No way would he even be a starter these days.....probably not even a backup.  Seriously check the numbers -- pretty putrid.

    • I think we pick it up and then someone else ends up emerging as the QB next year and we end up cutting him in year 5 and eating it.  That would be the most on brand thing to happen.
    • Evero has his faults, but even in that loss, the team only gave up 20 points. Your post gets to the heart of the matter. We are not a talented team on defense at this time. Some of our younger guys may develop w/more playing time, but for now we have no impact players at LB or EDGE. We could really use a ball-hawking S on the back end as well. We have exactly two players that have to be accounted for on every play, D. Brown, and J.Horn. Mike Jackson has been solid. The other starters would probably be backups on most the upper echelon NFL teams. We really can't expect this team to a Top 10 defense with such a lack of talent. All things considered I've been somewhat impressed with how much better they have played this year.   https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game   https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-average-team-passer-rating We are in the top 15 in terms of points allowed per game (22.6) and top 12 in defensive passer rating (88.9). And, we are doing this without a formidable PASS RUSH. Even our rushing defense has improved. We are #16 in rushing yards allowed per game (116) compared to 179 per game last season. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-rushing-yards-per-game I wouldn't cry if Evero moved on after the season, but his defense isn't the biggest worry for our team.
    • The funny part is she looks older and not in a good way...
