Meh, tenure doesn't mean posters will make good posts. Everyone is subject to make dumbass threads. The only thing I have noticed is that new posters or low post count members have a higher rate of making threads like this.

 

There has to be another way of dealing with this but hey, I'm not a mod or anything like that to take action. Albeit, there have not been a huge a mount of these types of threads though.

 

Well there is, like you said, no way to guarantee good threads all the time. In my experience of being a Mod on a completely unrelated forum, the tenure worked because it eliminated the hit and run members posting spam or childish threads. 

 

I believe this could work here as well. I am sure we have lurkers on our forum from teams all over the league. Many of these fans from opposing teams are fun to converse with and gain insight from the other side's perspective. Although, you do have the hit and run Dbags like that LetsGoATL asshat, who spam and make threads. The good thing for all of us here is that we have awesome Mods who delete these threads before they really take off, but use their best judgement on what to leave open for discussion or what to lock down... The tenure idea is just my suggestion to prevent these completely random and non-relateable threads..

I never questioned your tenure here or other posts you individually have made in the past... It is quite obvious that this thread is quite non-relateable, which is just an example of my response to another member. There are about 3 different conversations going on within this thread now, and none of them are about Jake Delhomme and his departure from the team years ago which seemed to be the core subject of your thread. 

 

Jake was at the game yesterday, he banged on a drum or something, that's fantastic.. There have been other threads made about it. We are all glad you decided to forgive him and let us all know about it.. and u tell me to get over Myself?? LOL

Yes, and all to have a conversation about something more meaningful than you forgiving Jake Delhomme. Heck, even you have diverted and joined in on a conversation that has nothing to do with your thread topic. The majority of posts within your thread prove that there is a disinterest in the topic, thus the internetz happen and everyone decides to turn the thread into a topic of discussion to their liking.
