I did my own lil research

Under Rivera/Cam era, the Panthers are 13-1 when scoring 30pts & over with that 1 loss to Detroit in 2011

2012 & 2013 ONLY

24pts & UP, the Panthers are 11-1 in 2012 & 2013. That 1 Loss IN ATL last season

In games scored 21pts BEFORE the 4th quarter in 2012, they're 6-1 ^ Look one sentence up. In 2013, they're 4-0 = 10-1.

21pts period or LESS than 21pts, 2012 & 2013 they're a combined 1-9

You ask 24 and 21. what about 22 and 23. Well the Panthers in 2012 and 2013 are 0-2 scoring 22 in Chicago in 2012 and 23 to Buffalo in 2013

When you combine all that and find a median. The Panthers are 11-1 24pts and above, 1-11 24pts and below in 2012 & 2013. Creepy it's the exact opposite isn't it

It shows to me in defensive battled games, it decreases our chance of winning. But if Cam and offense being as good as they can do, we're very hard to defeat

Good stuff but I'm willing to bet that there are plenty of teams that have similar stats. Correlation and causation and stuff.

Do you win because you score points or do you score points because you win?

My go to stat is how we do against tough defenses and tough front fours...and surprise we are crushing the weak ones and struggling against the tough ones.

We face two tough ones over the next 12 days. Get back to me then.

Excellent analysis! Don't let these fools discourage you from doing things like this in the future either. Those are all interesting facts that I didn't know. I will have this in mind during every single game now. Very cool, your research has made a difference in this fans perspective and knowledge base.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
