Was eating breakfast this morning when I started having a cramping sensation in my chest, trouble breathing, and feelings of lightheadedness. The staff at the dining hall I was at called the paramedics and now I'm at UT medical center. They say I was probably dehydrated or similar. Blood pressure and heartbeat levels are normal.

Anyone ever have this happen to them? I'm scared to death. I'm 21; this shouldn't be happening.

Sounds like anxiety.

Did they do an ekg? My son had similar symptoms, and it turned out to be wolfe-parkinson-white syndrome. Only showed up on one ekg out of many, so it was a fluke they even caught it.

Just did. Waiting on the results.

What in the world is wolfe-parkinson-white syndrome?

Sounds like a panic attack.

As someone who suffered/s from an anxiety disorder, panic attacks feel VERY similar to a heart attack. When I first started having them I felt like I was dying.

I have anxiety as well and take medication for it. Any way to limit or control them? This scared the absolute ever living sh.it out of me.

I was diagnosed with the disorder and medicated in the same trip. I thought I had a heart condition.

I took paroxetine (paxil) for two years and it almost ruined my life besides making me fat. I quit taking it cold turkey and suffered through the ridiculous six week withdrawal period of electric shock sensations in my brain, vivid nightmares and random bouts of vertigo.

I've just developed a better sense of what causes stress in my life and have improved how I deal with said stress. I haven't had a panic attack in over two years and haven't taken any medication over the same time frame. As a reference , before I was medicated I was having a panic attack multiple times a day, everyday.

If your family has a history of heart conditions, keep it checked. Even if they do diagnose you  with anxiety, stay on top of it. I was wrongly diagnosed with fibro in my early 30's and had a heart attack at 37. It almost cost me my life, because I waited to go to the hospital thinking it was just fibro acting up. In actuality, I had blockages, but my dr ignored my family's heart history and blew it off because of my age.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
