TNF: IND at TEN

No pun intended but luck is the luckiest guy ever! No way poo like that happens for any other team. Always something that brings the colts back in it for a win

Luck (not the QB) is part of every single game that gets played, including ours.

That LaFell fumble that bounced right back to him wasn't an example of skill.

at what point do people stop calling the Colts lucky, and admit that they find ways to win? we always bitch about no one giving Cam respec, what does the guy have to do?

They don't. It doesn't fit the narrative.

They believe any credit Luck gets is somehow a slap in the face of Newton.

And yes, I realize how silly that is for grown men, but whaddya gonna do?

Is Kubiak getting a stroke while his FG kicker misses 3 FGs part of the narrative? Is playing in by far the weakest division with 3 teams devoid of a QB part of the narrative? Is being down 38-0 to the Rams at home part of the narrative? Luck(y) is no football deity. Far from it.

His games are full of non skill plays on how they win. That one under throw that luck threw and was a sure pick but he bats it right to Reggie Wayne for the TD. Like what the hell

But us having a bunch of losing teams on our schedule has no effect, right?

Yeah you're right. Luck can't do anything at all. He's never thrown a good pass, made a good run or done anything worthwhile whatsoever

(sheesh)

But the ball that got tipped and fell into Greg Olsen's hands was all part of the plan, right?

nobody is saying he doesn't belong in the league. He is just not special.

Please

Right now, he's Archie Manning, a great QB on an awful team. And admitting that does nothing to slight Can in any way.

Maybe one day you guys will have enough confidence to let go of your insecurities and admit that. Till then, the Legion of Jealous Teenage Girls rolls on.

We didn't just have losing teams on the schedule, we obliterated losing teams on our schedule, including the team that lambasted Luck(y)'s team last week. Luck(y) and MVP were used in the same sentence in this thread. Facts and statistics show that is truly a ludacris comment, or should be anyway.

    • I think the book has been fairly written on Darnold, and by and large stays true. He can be rattled by pressure, and will lose his composure. If a team can get to him and have something go wrong in the plan, the mistakes and errors will pile up. Rams have a better offense, Seahawks sport a better defense. Should be a good 1.
    • Not a defense of him...an understanding of the problem. (something you seem to be lacking right now) 🙄 Bryce in a Canales offense is not an example of a stylistic mismatch, but I can give you one if that helps. When he was playing for the Panthers, Cam Newton sat under OC's running Coryell type offenses. Newton had a big arm and was a strong runner. He fit into that sort of attack very well. Then he goes to New England, where at the time they were running an Earhardt-Perkins system (similar to WCO In a lot of what they do but very different terminology). The Patriot offenses back then were heavily based on timing and rhythm style passing, not something that Newton was especially well suited for. So he washed out at New England, not because he had poor ability (his abilities had been on display here on a regular basis) but because he didn't fit what they wanted to do with their offense. I always go back to Jeff Garcia as one of the prime examples of this issue. Garcia in a WCO looked like a world beater. Put him in any other scheme though...yikes!  So again, Young's issues here have nothing to do with any failure to mesh with Canales. Hell, is say Canales has actually done pretty well at adapting his system to who he has rather than trying to jam square pegs into round holes. Again, it doesn't take an elite level of football knowledge to get this. It's pretty basic. But if you're not even capable of understanding what the real problem is, how are you going to know you to find the right solution? 🤔
