Cole, Ginn and Mitchell to name a few.

 

They have revitalized their careers here.    As a player do you stick with what has saved your career and take less or do you run for the money?

 

I am hoping Ginn and Mitchell realize that they are apart of something special and stay.   We need to pay them lets just hope they don't want top dollar to stay.  I think that Mitchell has thrived in this system and leaving to another team may not give him the same results.

 

Ginn has a connection with Cam and could really explode if he stayed with Cam.  

 

I think Cole has been such a solid but unsung addition to this team.  He provides Star with a breather and doesn't really have a let down in performance but since he doesn't start I could understand that he might leave.

I agree about Cole but I think Mitchell and Ginn should be more of a priority. I think we can get Ginn cheap as this was pretty much his last shot anyway.

My thoughts on Mitchell are close to those on Ginn and I really hope we keep him on a short deal.

honestly Ginn has been good but it's not like he is lighting the field on fire every time he touches it.  the way cam spreads the ball around, I doubt he'll attract enough interest that we will have trouble re-signing him, if he is willing to stay here.

Mitchell will be harder.

Mitchell is a priority. Dude is more than likely making the pro bowl and he has really been the best safety the team has had in a long time.

Same as everyone else I do not see Ginn getting that much attention, his numbers are not even that great here, just better than in Miami and San Fran

At this point I see most of these one year deal guys staying for the fact that deep down that most teams want never make them a starters. Plus I believe DG will work 2-3 deals with most of these guys for low money to keep them. Also these guys know that this is a SB contending team for the next 5-6. I think our main problem this off season will be Hardy. I see one of three things happening with. We resign him without breaking the bank or we put a tag on Hardy for a 1st round tag. Which I'm sure that any team wanting him will pay the price of a 1st round pick will do it. 3rd we will let him walk. Which I don't see 3rd option really happening. So either the team that wants him will pay the price or Hardy and his agent will take what DG offers him. DG ain't Hurney. DG plays hard ball. Ask Dwan and Capt. how that worked out this off season. Bottom line I see most if not all of the 1 yrs will be resigned at a lost price and we will keep them for a few more years.

I agree on Mitchell making the Pro Bowl and his interest is going to be very high.  People see that video from last week showing his passion.  You got to love that in a player.  In the same sense I hope he feels somewhat loyal to the defense he helped make #1.

Unfortunately, I say let Hardy walk and tie up these players and work the o-line. Addison may have made it easier to do, along with Hardy missing meetings.

It would be dumb to let Hardy walk for nothing if u can't resign him. Mitchell & Captain are key in my mind. Considering where he drafting or bring in a CB. If Cap doesn't want to much him being a starter & so good in the slot make him important. Where get the OLine upgraded believe that, no reason to shy away from stacking our defense anymore. I like Cole but him & Edwards can both be upgraded which would help make us more dominate.

if ginn walks he walks tbh, i don't think he leaves him nor Mitchell barring asking for a ridiculous contract.........and if ginn leaves it's not the end of the world, were most likely drafting a wr in the 1 who could take his reps. but i highly doubt any of these guys are leaving

Honestly,  Mitchell is the one I hope we focus on.  It isn't just that he fills a need but he brings a Passion to the game that you cannot just replace with every player.

If you listened to Mitchell's post-game interview last week...it's obvious he freaking loves this team and he believes in it 100%. I'm not a huge believer in the "hometown discount" for most players, but Mitchell doesn't strike me as a guy looking to get paid. I think if he's given a fair deal he'll take it in an instance.

I think we have to keep Mitchell and Ginn, they are the two biggest impacts this year, we don't beat the 49'ers and maybe not the patriots without Ginns big play ability and don't for get that.

 

Ginn is probably the closest thing to a home run hitter we have on the team right now. no one else threatens to take it to the house every time they catch the ball.

Hardy has played four years so he is unrestricted. Our only options are:

1. Franchise tag

2. Give him a new contract he accepts

3. Let him walk

The only compensation we could possibly get is if he walks with the extra draft choice for losing a free agent. Round depends on his new deal, mostly likely a 4th but a 3rd is highest possible if he gets a cj kind of deal.

There is no scenario in which we can trade him for picks so just forget it.
