rivera: "This was a very humbling experience ... Maybe we got a little full of ourselves."

Is it possible that Rivera sensed his team was getting big headed and decided the best way to refocus them going down the stretch was a loss?

thats like the Saints fans claiming that Sean Payton was playing "close to the vest" in order to take Seattle by surprise in the playoffs. its BS man. plan and simple. Riverboat didnt show up. our dominant D never took the field. and our damn offense couldnt execute. for once, i dont think Cam shares any blame in this. he did his damnedest to keep us in the game for as long as he could.

The entire team was ass and as a leader, Cam must take on some of that blame. The minute when blame starts getting thrown around unequally is when teams start to crumble.

Man up and move onto the Jets.

That was one of the weakest overall gameplans Ron's ever had.  Here's hoping it was just a temporary lapse of competence and we go back on a tear starting Sunday.

What concerns me is that he didn't change, when it was clear early in the game, that what we were doing wasn't working. That's a losers mentality, you have to adapt to what's happening on the field, regardless of what your game plan is...

I'm hoping he can do some more growing, because I'm not very interested in retaining him as a HC if he's already hit his ceiling.  That said, he's still got one more year on his deal, and I think this season has bought him that last year.

I agree, I believe that he'll be retained another year, not just because we started winning but because our players connects with him and is willing to play for him.

i hear you. and as a leader, he SHOULD take responsibility. but as a fan i can throw blame where it's due. Cam played the best he could with the lack of execution and the coaching last night. thats my only point.
