For instance, I'll never understand why you can never agree to disagree with someone for anything because you personally feel the need to spam your opinion until they a. Stop talking or b. I have no problem with posters saying whatever they want to say as long as they act civil. This is not about you disagreeing with me. As I have stated before it isn't that you disagree but the manner in which you call out posters by name and insult them. Then you follow that by asserting that you were the victim because I so annoyed you that I caused you to attack me. The kind of excuse I would expect to hear from my 14 year old son. Not an adult possessing a mature demeanor.

What's wrong with calling out madhatter for being a racist, if he makes racist comments? Are you going to keep posting anecdotes about your kids and make this discussion even more convoluted or are you finally going to shut up and cede that this thread didn't offer anything interesting since the OP basically went over a bunch of poo that has been posted over and over again on this forum?

He hasn't really gotten into any of that.... IMO. He had a good draft (Hurney-like though) and did well in FA (unHurney-like)

The contract issues still exist. He didn't really get into any of that. Yeah, he gave Beason away for free to his buddies which big picture was good but that was all he touched really.

Gettlemen will prove himself as he sets to tackle Cam/Luke/Hardy/the fact no WRs outside an old 89 have deals going forward, and deals with the Hurney baggage of Williams, Stewart, Godfrey, Johnson, etc.

Gman hit on 3 picks, 1, Barner, is contributing, and 1 with more hope than playing time. Hurndog never got that level of success. Gotta give that whole drafting thingy to the Gman.

He also dealt with a poo ton of contracts, and did well enough to trim 20mil off the cap. All while upgrading several defensive positions. The only thing negative about this is the lack of offensive talent. Sure we could use some help on that side of the ball, but to withhold giving Gman credit solely based off that. Well...C'mon man.

Also, Gman dealt with almost every vet with any money left on his deal, and will probably do so again this year. He should have some money to play with this year. Based off what he has already done, IMO, there is no real need to worry that he won't continue to do a great job moving forward.

We finally have a football guy running things. And yet, you still want to worry he will somehow screw this up? Let the Hurney fear go, it is messing with your chi.

 

 

Did you just get out of the Looney Bin? Or did you fail to follow the Panthers' offseason moves at all? Gettleman restructured: Kalil, Gross, Williams, Beason, Nakamura, Olsen and most recently Charles Johnson. Gettlemagic freed up almost $20 mil.

This thread had plenty to offer until you came in here derailing it with your personal attacks and juvenile tactics.  You could have stated your opinion and moved on rather than going back and forth with increasingly negative comments looking for a fight.  Go home beat the dog and yell at some underling at work or whatever you do when you aren't here spewing your negative comments.   But this thread was fine until you showed up.  Like usual.

 I rated it that once you joined.  And you are beating a dead horse and trying to get in the last word so please do so. And as far as racism on this site I don't do it and don't support it.  Do I know Madhatter? Yes I have tailgated with him on numerous occasions and find him to be a very generous caring person who has done a lot for toys for tots and other charitable causes. I have never heard him make racist comments around me or other folks so honestly I don't find anything you say about him ringing true at all.  What do I know about you.  Only that unlike him you don't appear to be a very nice or positive person.  Maybe in person you are different but on the message board, not so much.

Unfair, to really even judge this class....Barner or Klien could become superstars and someone like Short could go all rogue and Otah-like.  Not suggesting I think that but you don't judge a draft class yet.

 

as for Hurn-dawg...he had his flaws but you are failing to give him credit.  2007 for example.

 

Beason - All Pro/Pro Bowler

Kalil, All Pro/Pro Bowler

Charles Johnson - Pro Bowler caliber

 

That was 3 homeruns in one draft.

 

 

Hurney had tons of flaws and I am glad he is now gone.  But too many try to totally discredit him when he did some good things.   DG is off to a good start....but while he did inherit a mess he also inherited some great players thanks to Hurney.

The problem here is that you appointed yourself judge and jury of what is ignorant.  You might want to look at the man in the mirror.  I suspect the general consensus is that you are the problem more so than everyone else you attack regularly.  You seem to ascribe to the middle school mantra of attack others before they can attack you.  I prefer to do neither and try and take the high road with posters like you no matter how you try and pull people down into the gutter with you.
