Next Up: The Unis... Ideas?

So, I've been thinking, and I would absolutely love if we kept most of the original design - as far as the pinstripes and such. BUT, what I would really like to see is side panels on the jerseys and shorts like Marquette and Syracuse have used in recent years, consisting of squares or horizontal rectangles/lines with each of the main colors of the brand.

I'm posting from my phone, so I don't think I can link a picture to illustrate it better, but I think that would modernize the unis, while retaining the nostalgia of the original pinstripe design.

well, considering that is Nike and the league uniforms are Adidas, that will be highly unlikely

Jordan Brand was part of the group that designed the logos, I would expect them to have a major say on the uniforms as well. At the end of the day, the uniforms will have an Adidas logo on them though.

Since we know baby blue is one of the secondary colors, and we didn't see it used in the logos, I expect to see some baby blue pinstripes like the old hornets unis.

They seem to be going with the "honeycomb" theme with the hexagon shaped logos, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that somewhere.  Maybe the side of the shorts.

Happy 2014, everybody!

I make a new Hugo poster every year, and this is "Hugo 2014".  It's obviously based upon the old "Return of the Jedi" poster, and I've included a side-by-side comparison if you've forgotten what it looked like.  I've also included a Facebook cover photo; feel free to use/share 'em!

The Hornets come home THIS YEAR.  Wild, wonderful, stuff :)

    • Yea after the early games where I liked all the favorites, not alot I see this afternoon that I'm sure about or like.  Will maybe do some 2nd half bets if I can get away from computer for work to watch games and see trends.   I do think Clemson beats Carolina pretty easily tonight.  Clemson would've won in Chapel Hill if Bogavac didn't have an out of body experience and turn into JJ Reddick the final 3 minutes of that game.
    • EDGE Jaelan Phillips signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 74.2 2025 PFF WAR: 0.09 Contract: 4 years, $120 million PFF Projected Contract: 1 year, $15 million PFF Deal Grade: Below Average This deal grade could change depending on the guarantees, but the contract is a big risk for the Panthers, given how much time Phillips has missed in his career because of injuries. At his best, he can be a top-15 to top-20 edge defender in the NFL. He ranked tied for 26th in PFF overall grade at the position last year but played fewer than 500 snaps in each of the previous two years.
    • LB Devin Lloyd signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 88.4 2025 PFF WAR: 0.24 Contract: 3 years, $45 million PFF Projected Contract: 3 years, $48 million PFF Deal Grade: Good After two years as a good linebacker, Lloyd became one of the game’s best in 2025 by producing an 85.2 PFF run-defense grade and a 78.9 PFF coverage mark. Carolina lands a much-needed playmaker over the middle after placing 29th in PFF overall grade at linebacker, and to add Lloyd below market projection is terrific.
