Shula is sticking around for awhile

Amazing!! the things  Shula is saying about Cam doesn't sound anything like what the media is pushing, How come? Even more, this article is from a sport organization that has made it their habit to push the other image of Cam.

I told you folks. You ask every coach about Cam and they will tell you pretty much the same thing.

I'll tell you another other secret: Shula's been talking like this about Cam, from his first year, when he was QB coach, and earlier this year when he got the OC job (even his father; Don Shula, was stating how much his son loved Cam).

You can't tell me, the national media is unaware of this? But of course, they either don't care, or choose to ignore it (which, I guess is the same thing), for some other inane or murky reason. Lol

Guest shitposting

The wildcat has to go though. Calling that poo twice a game isn't doing us any favors. Underutilizing Tolbert in several games this year has been painful as well being Tolbert is definitely one of our better playmakers.

I understand the OP's creativity, desire and license: However, his title is not indicative of the article. Lol

Shula could get replaced, fired, or move on to greener pastures, sooner than we think (not predicting this; just saying).

I didn't know, if I should have been happy or scared when I first saw that title. Lol

I'm so sick and tired of Carolina hanging onto guys based solely on other intangibles that have nothing to do with what is going on in the game.

"Oh this guy has a lot of heart and grit. Let's keep him around". "This guy shows fire and the guys love him"

That gave us the Delhomme disaster and the reason why Bell is starting at RT. Among other disasters.

This organization needs to start aiming higher. Shula hinders this offense so bad it isn't even funny. We could be dominating and be #1 right now if it wasn't for his dumbass plays in crucial situations. Newton made Chud's career. He's making Shula's now. Not the other way around.

If we had Chicago receivers do you think you think things would be the same?

There is not perfect path to success in the NFL.  It comes it all kinds of different ways.  Could we have our offense of two years ago when Cam was putting up record breaking stats?  Nope.  Not now.  Not the same way.  He hasn't learned how what consistently works for him in the NFL like the leagues best.  Manning wasn't Manning to start with.  Cam is getting better and better.  Defenses adjust and then you have to adjust.  The QB's with the experience know the answers to each puzzle that is thrown at them.

Cam's not there yet.  But he's well on his way.

The coaching staff looks at Cam and decided on the best way for him to progress and get better.  Shula has a great relationship with him.  They're winning.  A lot.  Maybe we would score more points consistently with a different OC but we might also be a lot worse.  Why mess with something that's working and that works for Cam.

There are guys that can succeed in any system because they're that talented but what their system ends up being is based on what they excel at.   Manning, Brady, etc. would excel in any system but they'd probably end up in a system similar to what they are no matter what because you can see what they're really, really good at.  And when they get to a certain point it's the QB running his system.  The OC isn't running it anymore.  They help but guys like Payton are dictating what the offense is and in a few years Cam will be doing the same.

With Cam and guys with that much talent it's about putting them in situations where they can learn and they'll take care of the rest.  We've all seen it.  Cam gets in a rhythm and he's unstoppable, passing or running.  He just can't do it consistently yet because he doesn't know how to solve all the defensive puzzles he gets fast enough.  That will come with experience.

How many people here thing Tom Moore made Payton Manning what he is?

We are 3rd in the league in TOP. We are 11-4 and on our way to a possible 1 seed. We have a barely servicable OL and average WRs. Maybe you missed all that?

This.

Part of the reason the throw to Ginn worked is b/c Cam actually had time and he stepped up in the pocket. The right side of the line needs help, dearly.

Maybe I'm crazy but it sure seems like our offense hasn't been so efficient in the last few weeks - is that incorrect, Tee?  I haven't looked at those stats, but ugh, it's seemed that way.

We have been trending down on offensive effeciency stats.  But facing Ryan family dfefenses 3 weeks in a row can do that to you

For those hating on Shula just know that we are one of the smartest teams in football and he is doing very well with the talent we have. Whoever said we could be a top 5 offense with our personnel is truly delusional. We have an overachieving O-Line who tends to have more than a few mental lapses a game and a pretty mediocre receiving corps if I've ever seen one. With our defense, I completely understand some of Shula's playcalling, we gotta remember this is a team game. One thing I'd like to see more of is Tolbert and Cam in the running game, especially early. In the end, can't complain with winning.

I don't have a problem with this as long as Shula can evolve. It will be easier for him when we draft and sign more talent.

That's what I've intimated in earlier posts this week. Shula and Dorsey are excellent for helping Cam to encompass the ability to settle down, go through his progressions, make the proper reads, and take what the defense gives him, but I hope that this is not to the detriment of his long game---especially with his arm, but also his legs on occasion.

Great coaching will not let that happen
