Playoff Tickets

ItsNotGonnaBeAlright

Alright, I'm not really used to this whole playoff ticket thing since I've only been a fan since '08 and didn't go to the Delhomme meltdown. Do you buy the tickets at face value? And do they usually sell out quick?

There a limited number that go on sale tomorrow through Ticketmaster at face value. They go on sale at 10 am. They will be sold out before 10:05 am.

Mine just got here - for the person asking face - I'm in what is considered section A so it's the navy blue section on the stadium diagram.  $140 face for 1st game and $225 face for Conference Championship.

Cam's picture is on the 1st ticket and Luke's is on the 2nd.

And a tip for anyone who wants to save the sheet intact and still use your ticket (if you're a collector) - transfer the ticket to yourself and you can use an printed ticket instead of the hard tickets.  There is a nominal fee for this, but if you like these kinds of things - worth it.

No - we were fixtures there when my son used to work at the stadium and he had to be there around 8 or 9.  But when he went off for college - we had no reason to be there that early.  When the tailgates started getting really big, they became a little too inappropriate for my daughter.  When they got huge, someone took her and put her in the middle of a spin the bottle game - and she was maybe 7 at the time.  Funny and un-funny at the same time.  People would fall out if they saw her now.  She started tailgating when she was less than 2.  Of course most people on the board now won't even know who I am much less her.

Who was playing spin the bottle? Never saw anything like that. Hate it happened.

Just got mine too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugged the FedEx driver, danced a jig in the driveway, we talked for about 10 minutes. He delivered 22 sets of tickets on my end of East Broad, north of Greenbriar. Two other PSL owners on my street. Gonna have to get to know them better. :phone:

It might have been a later game - although I didn't typically take her to late games - so I can't remember which game - maybe it was 4:00 - maybe a preseason, I just don't know.  I'm not naming names - some I knew, some I didn't, but they were drunk and thought it was hilarious and she had no idea what she was doing except playing with a bottle.  Most of the people I knew at the tailgate though - I trusted enough to where I could have dropped her off and left her they were that good with her.  But just this one evening....

But that's not why I won't be coming - I still made appearances after that for a while.  I just don't do tailgating anymore.

I have tailgating locations for me and friends ... and others when I bring the kids.  Some locations can get pretty wild, especially if it is a night game.

Overall, I think the tailgating has gotten better this year, even after the new baseball stadium took away a lot of space.  It feels more like an established football town with folks getting there a little earlier.  I have a 3 hour drive each way so our Sundays start pretty early.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
