2014 Mock Draft: Carolina-Chuck's 2 Round Projections

Haven't watched or seen anything from Allen Robbinson yet. What are his strengths and weaknesses as a receiver? I usually start getting into the draft a lot more after the season when we know exactly what picks we will have.

A lot of people are really high on him. He's graded as a late 1st to early 2nd rounder.

I've watched some youtube highlights of him only, but came out not fully satisfied. I really dont know if Im just asking for too much or what.

After reading the article I posted above, I though it gave some really good details to what he does best. At first, I looked at his stats alone and was "wowed" by his 97 rec for the season. But, after the article I found that 30.16% of his catches came on screen. Exactly what I saw. Robinson is really explosive with the ball in his hands tho. But, I want a down field threat which he's really not. He has a percentage of only 12.7% of 20+yards.

If we really want to take a chance at a WR in the 1st round, I would highly vouch for Odell Beckham Jr. The kid is a stud and his stock is rising damn fast.

Cooks is considered the best WR in the nation this season, but to me he's too damn small. I do not think he's close to 5'10 at all. He looks more like a cross between MJD and Sproles.

If Kyle Fuller is there in round 2. I will McNutt

He should be there in the 2nd. I just dont know if he'll be available to us in the late 2nd.

Two other CBs I really like that could possibly be have in the 3rd is Aaron Colvin and Jaylen Watkins the brother of Sammy Watkins.

Fuller would be a great pick up especially with his size. At first, I was a big Antone Exum fan. Exum is physically built, but the kid just wont tackle. A lack of effort. It's almost like he's scare to tackle. I think that he will be a safety in the NFL. Built like one.

EJ Gaines is another name.

Watkins and Rashaad Reynolds I have been eyeing for round 3. I like corners with closing speed and are willing to hit.

I think we need a tackle in the first two rounds regardless, aging gross doesn't have a contract, shitty bell doesn't have one either. I love the positions with the first two picks

I dont think we can invest in douple dipping at OT consecutively like what we did with Star and KK this past draft. WR is such a huge need that we'll have to address it this year. Unless we go after a Nicks or Maclin in FA, I cant see it happening.

I can def see where we go OT 1st or 2nd and another one in the 3rd:

(1) Lewan / Kouandjio / Richardson / Ogbuehi

(2) WR

(3) Hurst / Moses / Ju'Wuan James / Henderson

Would love that.
