My experience buying a new phone.

So on New Years Eve I decided to just chill with the woman and enjoy some food and Netflix for the night. We went to the grocery store to get some poo. As we made our way back we stopped to get gas. As I got out of the car my cell phone fell out of my hoody pocket and cracked the screen. poo was fuged. So we decided to go to the nearest Verizon store so I could get a new phone. Had an upgrade anyway.

We get to the store and the guy is a total doucher and rushes me into buying a Droid Ultra. fuging big ass mistake. poo is thin as fug, wide as fug and doesn't have a notification light to let you know when you get a text or something. But I needed a phone and there was a 14 day return thing anyway. So we go back to my girls place and take in the new year with some bacon wrapped smokies, crab and cheese dip, turkey wraps and a full season of Supernatural.

So anyway today I finally got around to returning it but the scumbags tell me even with the exchange it's going to be $130 with a $50 mail in rebate. I say fug that I return the phone and they charge me a $30 restocking feel so I only get like $50 back. Now I'm pissed as fug using my old ass Droid X but I'm too stubborn to give in. So on my way out of the mall I pass a Best Buy Mobile and they're having a sale. HTC One free just the activation fee. Walked out of there a mere 20 minutes later paying around $31. fug Verizon stores, Best Buy FTW!

I've only had it for a few hours but this phone is fuging sweet and came in a sexy ass blue. Love it.

Oh and when I booted up my old phone I found some nudez from a few years ago.

I'm a cheap bastard (and don't have any clue how phone contracts work), so I went to Wal-Mart and got a Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy Centura. $45 for unlimited* talk, text, and data. Not a bad deal and works great. My only gripe is the lag on notifications from ESPN, my Carolina Hurricanes app, and Facebook. Does enough to keep me happy. One day in the future I might actually get a nice, badass phone from Verizon. Until then, I'll enjoy paying the $45 monthly.

*data tops out around 2.5 GBs. Not a huge deal, since I only came close to using that much once, and that was the first month when I was downloading a lot of apps and using my FB app more than I do now due to not having internet at the time.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
