Yes, we barely beat the best QB in the NFL at GB in 5 degree weather. Kinda like how yall BARELY beat us in SF. Who cares. It's any given sunday and it's the playoff. If you are expected to steamroll your opponent then you better think again.

 

We are not the ones making asinine comments like, "We're the hottest team in the NFL; Kaepernick is the best young QB in the playoffs right now."  You can't make those comments after a crappy game against a subpar team [i'll even excuse the "Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL comment] and expect no recourse.

As far as I know; only the media are making those claims. I guess you can say we are the hottest team in the NFL because of our winning streak leading up and into the playoffs...but that doesn't really mean anything. Just something for the media to talk about.

 

Kap being the best young QB in the playoffs is the same thing. His stats were not mind blowing but he made great, clutch throws and runs when we needed them the most.

 

Yall can continue to downplay the packers all you want but with Aaron Rodgers, I don't care how good you're team is, he gives them a real chance to win against any team in the league.

I think that applies to every fan base.  

 

There's plenty of "bulletin board" material in this forum, but that's to be expected.  

 

Fans are almost always going to be confident/cocky about their team.

Dude Seahawk fans have given us more respect than what the 49er fans have?!? I mean you have been one of the better opposing fans but to believe y'all have a far better team then us is ridiculous and that is what your fan base is saying, expecting us to lay down just because Crabtree is back smh.

 

We definitely don't have a MUCH better team. We match up pretty evenly across the board. I think the biggest difference is QB. Cam is much better than Kap at the moment. If Cam had Crabs, VD and Boldin....I don't even want to imagine.

 

Kap was drafted as a project some where in the second round. Whereas Cam was the #1 overall pick. I think Kap will be great in a couple of seasons though.

I cant feel the same as most of us do about 49er fans, my Mom has always been one.. My bro-in-law is too, I have to respect at least them 2.... There are alot of 49er fans around VaBeach, as there are for any team that has 'won' recently. Met a few db fans, they were awfully quiet after week 10...

 

This game worries me, tough to get 2 Ws against any team, except maybe the Bucs. I know the Panthers can, hopefully the offense get their collective poo together & gives us more of weeks 5-12 than the last 4...

Bulletin board material on a fansite and bulletin board material coming from the opposing team are two TOTALLY different things, so are confidence and arrogance.

Which is why I put bulletin board in quotes.    

 

The things that fans say on message boards are totally irrelevant to the game.

      I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).

      It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
