I don't think they got cheaper. It's obvious we need to install a vertical passing game because Cam has the arm to make all the throws and is accurate enough to do it consistently. In a game like this we should've been better prepared on offense.

That said, I'm pleased with this years results and ultimately this is just one game of 17. I had fun getting to the Saints and Pats games this season and look forward to more next season.

Neither did.

But my positive is that since SF was likely to take a WR according almost every mock, we can now have first pick of the bunch.

We need a corner who can man up with someone. Only Sherman and Revis could've stopped Boldin today and realistically, were not going to land that early in the draft.

The right side if our line is in serious need of some help though.

Yeah I agree we need a corner but 10 points isn't going to win you alot of games.

There's too many times when Cam is standing back there with no where to go with the ball.

He does hold onto the ball but that will get better with time. The more he sees the more he will be able to see what he's gonna get before the snap.

    • Yeah and Phil Snow has the second best defense in the league 😄 I'm reminded of 2015 where we used to build up huge leads in the first half just to wind up winning by less than a single score because our second half performance stunk. We built up some pretty good rushing stats over an early stretch in the year. Didn't really help us against the Saints though, or in some of our other losses. Hell, go back and look at past Super Bowl winners. Is it always the team that's ranked first in one category or another? After all, stat rankings always tell you who the best team is, right? 🤔
    • Didn’t say it does, Scot.  But as I pointed out earlier, most of the negativity in this thread is due to one of two reasons: 1) Guys that don’t want anyone competing with or taking the starting gig from their boy Bryce. or  2) Guys who dislike/hate Deion and Shedeur.     Again, statistically, there are no grounds to pick Bryce as a starter over another QB over the last three seasons.  And statistically, what Shedeur is doing as a rookie is impressive thus far, whether he was Deion’s son or not.  So if it’s not statistics and the eye test, then why are people so fired up about it?  The tells are there.
