Jstew a healthy scratch

If Stew can get healthy, then we have a helluva runner and pass catcher out of the backfield.  I am sure that 49ers fans used to talk the same poo about Frank Gore back in the day.  They've gotten probably about 3-4 straight solid seasons out of him now.

J stew is a cancer the sooner we get rid of him the better. He's just taking up a roster spot

Seems a little harsh on the first part.  That infers he is being negative in the locker room and hurting the team chemistry.

Is he killing our cap and wasting a roster spot when he doesn't play?  Yes.

But by all means, he seems to be a team first guy and well liked in the locker room.

I made a thread on the drafting of a running back in the draft forum...let me know what you think when you get the chance.

I think late round picks are ideal for RB.  You can land starting/committee RBs late for cheap.  Not just camp fodder.  I'll check yours out

For some reason I thought his contract was up in the next year. I'd rather keep a fit 31 year old, than a broken [better] RB who rarely plays.

He was 5M cap hit this year.

6 next year

6.3 year after that

28's deal is absurd.  There must be something we don't know
