A lot of those players are going to walk or might sign another 1 year deal to come back.  The only players I think earned a long term contract are Gano and Mitchell.

I say let Hardy walk.  As good of a player as he is, he wants huge money, and straight up Carolina doesn't have it.  Too many other holes on the roster to let one guy take up a huge chunk of space that they could sign 10 other guys for.

IMO

WR Domenik Hixon - Bring back as depth only last resort/camp body

WR Brandon LaFell - Let him test the market. Only re-sign for 3rd WR money

WR Ted Ginn Jr. - Re-sign for small 2 yr deal. Valuable KR/PR and 3rd WR

QB Derek Anderson - Re-sign if he wants to stay. Vet min.

QB Jimmy Clausen * - lol

TE Ben Hartsock - Re-sign. Best blocking TE this season.

OL Jordan Gross - No Brainer to re-sign. 2nd Best OL

OL Geoff Hangartner - Do not want

OL Travelle Wharton - Re-sign to play RG in case Kugbila is not up to par. Did a decent job at LG

OL Garry Williams - Meh

OL Bruce Campbell - Do not want

DE Greg Hardy - Franchise tag and trade. His contract would be too costly for the team(in the future)

DT Colin Cole - Good depth. Re-sign

LB Jordan Senn - Decent ST player re-sign to vet min 1 yr deal.

LB Jason Williams - See above

LB Dan Connor - Do not want

S Quintin Mikell - Only Re-sign for vet min. Played decently enough.

S Mike Mitchell - Must Re-sign IMO. 2yr deal around 3M

CB Captain Munnerlyn - Just like last yr, let him test the market. Very good slot CB tho.

CB Drayton Florence - Played better than I thought, but always very suspect. Bring back for camp and see how he does.

K Graham Gano - Our K of the future. Clutch FGs and always good for a touchback.

Restricted (3)

TE Richie Brockel - meh

CB James Dockery - cut

OL Byron Bell - Depth only.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
