Kemba is out "for a while" says coach Steve Clifford. MKG taken out in OT to let LeBron lead the heat to victory. Looks like MJ isn't the dumbass I thought and is finally ready to start chasing a high draft pick. With Kemba out we will probably not even need to try to lose on purpose anyways so its a win win. Lets go!!!!!!!!

The question is, how many teams can we "out-tank?"  I am pretty sure Milwaukee and Orlando got us beat but pretty sure Boston, New York, and Cleveland will surpass our win total.

That leaves Philadelphia and about four teams out West (who will have much tougher schedules).

Read where big Al may need offseason ankle surgery. I think it is time for that to really start bothering him to where he needs to go ahead and have it done to be ready for next year. I also think MKG needs to have a minor setback from his injury and Kemba have a tough time getting better from his twisted ankle. MJ and Cho gave the impression they wanted to win but injuries got the best of the team. Therefore the NBA doesn't punish them for an intentional tank during the lottery drawing. All of this with the rebrand should net the Hornets a high draft pick.

Should have been the plan from day one. Cho should have drafted Noel. Noel could have recovered and worked out this year. Lose enough to get a top 3 pick plus adding in the 2 firsts owed in a great draft. Start the new Hornets era with a bang. Imagine a lineup of Kemba, PJ Hairston, Jabari Parker, Noel, big Al. Plus you'd have another 1st rd pick mixed in and cap space. I'd think about buying league pass to watch.

I was so excited when Noel fell to us.  Draft night always pisses me off.

    • The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?
    • I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!
    • in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
