Cam was our leading rusher last year, and second this year, and he leads the team in rushing tds since he's been here.  Should DG pay him like a running back?  Or nah? 

 

Point is, title isn't relevant, they should pay him his value regardless of a silly title.  With all the money Brees is paid, he should keep his mouth shut, he's a big part of the reason why they are being so tight.  I hope Graham leaves.

I hope he either get a mega contract so the Saints can't sign anyone else or they let him leave so we don't have to deal with Brees' 50/50 balls to him. I think Brees is ordinary without him.

Then I think we are in agreement that the saints should be paying him as his production dictates. He puts up numbers any WR outside of Megatron and Green would be happy to have. Desean Jackson would be an annual holdout putting up Graham numbers. He's made pocket change for his production so pay the man accordingly so you don't have to go through this fickle bullshit with the second best player on your team. If you have 3-4 outside linebacker like Ware getting 20 sacks a season he should be paid like a premier DE, making substantially more than a premier OLB, wouldn't you agree?

the Saints can offer whatever they like. The only reason it is a story is that they could not come to terms and the cap is in play. They want to tag him at hid actual position and he wants to be paid at a different position. Both sides are gaming the situation.

Wouldn't it be great.   Tag him as a TE.  We sign him.  Give up 2 = #1 and move him to WR.   Then Cam has his big ass receiver and when we need to go to double TE we don't need bring anyone in.

 

Olsen would have over 1K receiving if you put Graham in.

 

Seriously don't be surprised if someone gives up 2 #1s if they tag him as a TE.
