Another draft list of possibilities... choices choices

Updated look at the draft round by round, id have to agree that the players mentioned are exactly what we should be looking at, my personal favourites are Benjamin Moses Robinson Purifoy & Ford. This years draft looks deep in lots of positions and especially in the ones of need for the panthers, I can't see gettleman having a poor draft at all, just got to get the right guy at the right time and like last year hope some studs fall our way. Star set the bar...

I've looked around and strangely quiet a few people are dropping on Benjamin now worried his speed will put teams off. he's projected 20th down to about 35th but no way do I see him dropping that far. If he's at 28 we got to snag him, but if is him or Stanford's guard David Yankey who's graded the best guard in Colege football and projected to go late first round early second who do you think Gman would pick?, in all likelihood the first round graded tackles will be gone by time we pick first so we aren't going to pick a second round graded tackle 28th overall, so Benjamin vs Yankey could be a quiet realistic decision to make.

I can't see yankey being here at all. A first round pick on a guard? Not to mention kug and amini coming back and the way scott and chandler played down the line. This is a no brainer. Benjamin and it's not even close.

Wouldn't expect us to pick a guard guys just making the point gettleman picked BPA first two rounds last year and by the time we pick 28 there Will be second round graded tackles left which is what we will be looking at, then possibly Benjamin or someone of that grade, then were talking other positions but most people are thinking it will be Oline or receiver first pick, which rules out a tackle possibly so leave guard or receiver thinking that way. Doubt we would go say a db first round would we?

    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
    • Didnt Canales already say starters are playing in the pre season? either way extra reps dont hurt but im not one of those people that think playing in the pre season would have saved Bryce from an awful start.
    • very helpful.  I read back in this thread where they might try Jarvis at C--I thought he and Aho had good chemistry, however.  Nonetheless, he could expand his value there, and now we have a guy who can play jarvis' spot.  Freddie is a pro, no doubt--and as little as I know about the inner workings of strategy and positions, I could tell Burns was burning us at times.  I figured he'd retire and I was looking forward to it.  FWIW, they have Jarvis listed as a C on the 2025-26 roster.
