Mcnutt, Bond and King what impact will they have

None to very little. Every team in the NFL has a group of guys like this. Maybe they have raw talent but if they were that good Ron and DG would have played them more. No reason as of this point to see it any differently.

Yes, every team has developmental guys that they like, but they don't keep those guys on the active roster...roster spots are just way too valuable.  Those are usually guys you stash on the practice squad.  Yet, we kept them on the active roster, so I think the team thinks they are more than just "develop and hope" guys, I think they envision a future here for them.

Nah, that can't be right. Too many Huddlerz telling us they are worthless bodies.

There really is only one reason these kids were on the active roster and not on the practice squad. We did not want to lose them.

But go ahead and keep telling me these guys have no future.

Being active on an NFL roster is a great feat for anyone. What is the average playing career for the NFL now, 3-4 years? How long have these three guys been in the NFL now?

Either these guys are what we thought they were, meaning Ron and DG included, good to add depth. Or we are really bad about putting our most talented players on the field. I will tend to side more with Ron and DG until they prove me otherwise.

Guys can improve and become studs late in their careers, but coming up on your 3rd and 4th year you'd better start showing something or teams will start drafting for your replacement, it's easy to draft your #5-6 WR or #3 RG. You are at risk of becoming the average and not the exception the longer you go without showing production in games/practice.

Not gonna lie. If Gman and Ron think enough of these guys to keep them on the active roster. I can hope that they may just have something to give. We are not yet in the position to not look under rocks for help. If these kids can contribute, and I see no reason to give up on them already, it makes us better. And isn't that the point.

They were here most of the year. They know who we are, and what we want. They know what they need to do. Why not give them support? At least until they show otherwise anywho. Maybe, just maybe, they have something of value, and can not only find the field, but contribute.

As has been stated. They are like draft picks with experience. That can only help them. And by extension, us.

The problem is opportunity.  You want these guys to see some action in games but not at the detriment of the team.  I suppose that's the battle coaches have day in and day out.  That's what separates good talent evaluators from great ones.  Hopefully they will get a ton of snaps in camp and the preseason.  I hope they can deliver becaue lord knows I want to hear McNutt said over and over on the PA...because his name sounds like McTesticle.

I don't think you and I disagree with each other. But I do think you under estimate the need to have depth. There will always those players that are on the roster to add depth and those that are there to start/lead. Maybe it's still to early to tell for these guys. But I still go back to we were 28th in the league in offense if we had our talent being benched then at what point do we put our talent/future on the field, when we are 29th, 31st, last? I think Ron and DG were smart enough to put the most talent on the field with what we had and they weren't part of it. So what does that tell me? The window of opportunity for their NFL career may be closing, the question is are they a depth player or a starter? I would love for one of these guys to step up.

DG needs praise for signing/claiming all these "free draft picks". Before mcnutt and king, the only WR under contract for 2014 was smitty. Bond played in state and adds to the 2014 OL(which is rather weak over all). They and other young-ins where basically red shirted this season, which is perfectly fine.

Making the 53 roster is one thing, getting a game day jersey is that next level. Those 8 inactives are mainly used for young players that where either late rounders or show potential.

Who knows what either of these players can give the panthers, its up to them to put in the work cause talent is there.

Not going to lie. At this point in time I am worried about our WR corp. We have Smitty, and...McNutt and King. I expect Ginn Jr., and probably Hixon back. But, that is a scary proposition.

McNutt and King know what is expected of them. The question becomes. Are they capable of fulfilling those needs?

Even if Gman and Ron like these kids, it is a long shot they can be expected to contribute much, if anything. Even if these kids can contribute, we are going to need more help. Cam deserves more help. Our fervent hope is Gman can/will add some legitimate talent to this corp.

I like what Gman has done so far. I trust him to continue to build this team. And right now, that WR corp. needs his attention. Badly.

The talent level of McNutt and King are what is in question. Some folks are not to sure, and others are more hopeful than sure. The only thing we all know is; We need help.

Young blood is needed. At this point in time McNutt and King are that blood. The problem is, no one is sure how much they can help, if any. We need a Vet WR to solidify the position. Someone to take the heat off Smitty. Even if the young kids can play, we need a Vet badly.
