Sad to say it, but...

...same old John Fox.

It's the third quarter, you're 29 points down (29 points), you've got one of the few half decent drives of the game going, granted you hit a snag and wind up with a 4th and 12, but at least you're still in decent field position...oh and did I mention it's the third quarter and you're down by 29 points?

Aaaaaaaand you punt :(

That was the point where I said "okay, it's officially over now."

Yes, John Fox is a good coach. Don't take this as a statement that he isn't. But the things that have held him back from ultimate victory before are still there, still active.

Oy :(

Was that the 4th down that was setup by one of his patented 3rd and 10 draw plays?  Pretty sure it was.  As soon as they ran a draw there, I just started LMAO.  How did Manning not check out of that?  As great of a player as he is, I think I know why.  Even when they were down 8-0, he looked just plain depressed on the sidelines.  He knew tonight was a legacy game for him and he was scared.  He just plain choked.

There isn't much else he has to do unless you're won of those people who think Trent Dilfer was a better QB than Dan Marino.

I don't really know how much of this to put on Peyton at this point. My initial read is less than 50%, but I'll probably think over it more in the next few days.

One thing I can't help thinking: You'd have thought the Broncos were the team with a black cat mascot. Just about anything that could go wrong for them did, starting with the first play from scrimmage.

It was almost surreal to watch.

Yup all I could think threw out the sadness i saw on the sidelines is that the legacy talk got to him and he knows that. He may have said legacy doesn't matter but he knows it does. He just flat out choked as you said.

They really did play an almost perfectly awful football game.  The biggest thing I put on Peyton is the INT he threw on 3rd and long when it was 15-0.  The Broncos were still very much in the football game, but he forced a pass while being pressured and it was an awful throw.  Thomas was open, but Manning isn't a QB who throws well under pressure.  He's a guy who normally picks teams apart and gets rid of the ball so fast that it takes the pass rush out of the game.  Considering who he is, it was a forced pass.  It got intercepted which set the Seahawks up with good field position and turned a 2 possession game into a 3 possession game after the Seahawks scored a TD.

Manning isn't the reason the Broncos lost, but he probably did have his worst game of the season tonight.

    • I read an article a few days ago that places like Seattle green bay and a few others are revoking tickets rights to holders that sell 100% of their tickets. That would do a lot of good league wide for bringing back some home field advantages. We aren't the only team who's stadiums get over run by visitors. It happens basically everywhere. That would go a long way to bringing ticket costs down
    • yeah, you can basically copy and paste my thoughts from this time last year.   We are building an O more suited for Jake Delhomme than Bryce Young.  Tmac and XL sound great for the downfield gunslinger  Give them opportunities to make plays.  From what I have seen, and the scouting stuff I have read.....TMac does not project as a get open quick WR.  He is going to have to work on getting off the line at this level, getting open, etc.  Which is all good.  This you go to think people will be studs out the gate or you are hater logic just ain't what I do.   Take my XL stance last year.  I lobbied hard for him.  When we drafted him I immediately told folks to pump their breaks on the wild expectations.    If XL legitimately turned into what I think he can be.....his best setup in the league would not be paired w/ a QB like Young.  if Bryce was going to be the dude, I would have lobbied for Ladd vs XL.  I was an XL guy.   And again, I would have gone Warren/Jeanty this draft.   I would have invested in small ball talent for him to be the PG for.
    • @TheBigKatare you going to Arizona? I'm thinking about making a road trip again. Haven't venture out since we got spanked in Miami a couple years ago
