FA will want to come to Carolina this year....you can count on it!

On that same topic, I keep going back to Gettleman's presser on Draft day.

Gettleman laughingly told the story of another team calling him to offer their second round pick this year for our first next year.  He said he didn't even return the call, and further stated "you must be braindead to think I'm gonna take that kinda deal."

I had to wonder if anyone ever advised him that our previous GM did take that deal, three times :(

I also had to wonder if, at that point, the Panthers had gained a reputation in front offices around the league.  "Hey, call the Panthers.  They'll give you next year's first rounder."

Again, happy those days are over.

@ Rayzor. I tried that, nothing is appearing. I'll printscreen it and post it, there is no lightbulb at all. All I get is a blue line across the screen and a white background.

sorry. that's above my paygrade.

fwiw, i see that pop up at different times myself, but it's been infrequent enough for me to know what caused it or fixes it.

The switch that Rayzor is talking about is here.

If that doesn't help, try putting the html type commands around what you want to quote.

You might also try updating Firefox or using an alternate browser like Chrome.

Hope one of these ideas helps.

Agreed that FA's will want to come here, money is still huge factor except for the older guys that want a ring. At least after last season guys will listen to the pitch, which wasn't always the case.

If the situation would have resembled last season in 2011, maybe Jacoby Jones doesn't leave Charlotte and entertain Baltimore.  I believe the difference will be that big.

    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
    • Me, signing up for FanDuel Network, and then canceling FanDuel Network:
    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
