Who gives a fug

1) We extend Cam in the next 8 weeks. $16-20M per year for 5-6. Dunno what the guaranteed will be. He plays for us for the next 12 years and gets a statue.

2) We drop CJ

3) We resign Captain and Lafell

4) We keep both high paid RBs

5) We draft a RB or QB in May

6) Hardy walks. We get a 3rd rounder.

7) We draft an O lineman at #28

8) We pick up a fairly high profile S or CB in free agency

9) Kugbila never starts

10) One of the new escalators breaks next year on game day

11) We get another home MNF game next year

12) Smitty has a decent year but it will be his last as injuries start to catch up

13) We have a player of the year

14) Unfortunately our streak of never having two winning seasons in a row...continues when we lose to the Bucs at home on December 28th to go 8-8 while the Falcons sneak in

15) We go to the superbowl in the 2015 season.

1) we lose Kraken for nothing other than the compensatory pick the following year

2) we sign Cam to a new deal

3) Steve Smith and Jordan Gross retire after next season

4) We don't draft a receiver in rounds 1 or 2 this year

5) DWill's last year as a Panther will be the upcoming season

6) We don't win the division next year but make the wildcard

7) AJ Klein starts at the SAM

8) We don't sign Nicks

9) We find a gem at CB late in the draft

10) I'm done projecting

I think if he is a June 1 cut it would be the biggest cap savings we could manage.

From what I can find on Spotrac...

"The restructure will increase his cap figure in 2014 to $16.42 million and his dead money to $16.26 million."

That dead money decreases to 6 million with a 17.4 million cap hit in 2015, and no dead money with a 12.4 million cap hit in 2016. He could be cut/traded down the road possibly...but not next year. At least that's the way I'm reading it.

1) we re-sign capt and mitchell, but pick up a new SS and CB in FA and the draft who start

2) hardy walks, but we pick up a justin tuck type DE in FA

3) we let lafell walk, but keep hixon and ginn.

4) we pick up a top WR in FA

5) we draft 2 OTs, 2 WRs, a blocking TE who can catch (like cj fiedorowicz), and a S/CB

6) somehow gettleman finds a way to move on from stewart without a catastrophic hit to the cap

7) we start off strong, but slow down mid season only to get hot right at the end

8) 11 win season, but don't win division.

9) saints win division with 12 wins and falcons just miss the playoffs with 10 wins

10) we make it to the nfccg as beating the 49ers in san fran and move on to the superbowl

11) we beat the pats in the superbowl and gettleman continues his SB winning streak against the pats

12) gross and smitty retire

13) cam wins mvp

14) cam gets new contract that shocks the league because it isn't close to being the biggest contract to a QB in league history...instead it's a team/cap friendly contract.

15) broncos don't even make it to the playoffs

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
