Would be nice for Cleveland to go ahead and take Sammy Watkins at 4 and someone else at 26 and then trade back into the first for like Derek Carr.

I would certainly love to get the 35th pick from them along with the 71st in the 3rd round for trading down.

Couple that with the possiblity of getting another second for Hardy, this would be a great scenario for restocking the shelves at a lower dollar amount

5. Explosion factor: If you were wondering what to make of the measurable statistics attached to combine players, you are not alone. One simple thing, which I've done for 25 years, is search look for explosiveness.

When the ball is snapped in the NFL, at least half the players on the field collide and the more explosive player wins the battle.

Take the vertical leap, the standing broad jump and the bench press numbers and add them up. The key is to find players that can reach or surpass the 70 for a combined total. For example, Aaron Donald had a 75, Kalil Mack had a 73 and running back Bishop Sankey had a 71. Those numbers don't always add up to a great football player, but it is a start.

Awesome! I love learning stuff like this. After a bit of searching, I can tell you that there isn't a lot of guys who can do this. Jace Amaro however, can. Interesting

While we're dreaming, I wish we were Frisco with a 1st, two 2nds and two 3rds.

Which brings me to my point a out your post. If the 49ers accepted this would everyone be on board trading Hardy to the 49ers for their 2 2nd & 3rd rounders?Even no it would make their D crazy scary.

Why would you want to send Hardy to a already scary team. Are you crazy or something? It want happen. 49ers ain't that dumb to give up those many pics for Hardy. Besides the 49ers soon enough will be in cap hell like us. They already have big name guys on their team getting big contracts. I doubt they trade for Hardy and give him his asking price. They can't afford him.

And nothing will fix cap woes and keep you competitive like stocking your roster with top quality young talent with cap friendly rookie contracts.

The 49ers are about to do just that.

There biggest weakness next year may be their QB.

Relax buddy it was a what if scenario. They have pics Hardy would make them even more legit, also with Justin Smith about to be done. Took it kind of personal.

I this topic even about the second round? But I have an off topic question. What has happened to teams like SF in the past that have good teams and a ton of draft picks? I would imagine the cap will only cause a small amount of casualties and we will see them in the championship game for a long time to come

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
