Mike Mitchell fits Rivera's Scheme like a glove. Perfect player for that position...

Keep in mind that Rivera made Mike Mitchell. Mike Mitchell would be much less of a player on another team. Rivera is SO good at getting the best out of his players, and making scrubs overall good players in general.

Mitchell was a big part of the team's success last year and he def brings something to the table we haven't had in a while. IMHO he needs to be offered a multiyear contract and remain w/ the team.

I heard his little interview about wanting to "build" something here and how he wants to stay here. We shall see.

It goes back to George Preston Marshall being pro-segregation and refusing to allow black players on the Redskins, a lot of area fans converted to their rival in protest.

Wow, didn't know that.  Thanks for the info.  I knew the first owner of the Skins was a tool, but didn't know about that aspect of it.

Believe me, it's all the teams that were like that. In fact, the whole country. Yea, this is no ordinary country or society.

It wasn't all the teams, NFL segregation ended in 1942. Marshall refused to have any black Redskins until the 60s when the government threatened to revoke the lease on their stadium unless he did.

Thanks for the lesson. Like I said, this is no ordinary country or society. Certainly no ordinary humans. :)
