Everson Griffin gets 5 years 42.5 million

For those complaining about 13 mil a year for elite pass rushers, this contract is a severe wake up call.

Honestly, 13 mil is cheap for Hardy.

He will get his long term contract, cause the best of CJ's career is behind him.

How is CJ best days behind him? The guy is only 27. The guy is a solid play pass rusher and good run stopper. Now tell me how he has slowed down. Aside from him slowing down at the end of the season when he got leg whipped by a pats olineman. CJ never really had time to heal. CJ ain't never  really had a major injury and he is still young. I have no idea what your talking about his best days are behind him.

What's up with all the CJ hate? The guy is a tremendous player.

Who is hating him. I'm saying CJ is has some yrs left. Claw is pointing out that his best years is behind him. Which I disagree. I love CJ. Claw seems to think CJ is about done of something. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

He's mid-tier and inconsistent like Bowers.

Ouch, that's a little harsh. Griffen has been somewhat productive as a rotational guy. Obviously the Vikings believe he can build on that as a starter. Bowers ain't ever done squat, dude's a flat out bust. 17.5 sacks V 5.5 sacks over the last 3 years.

Bowers had 2 tackles and 1 sack in 13 games last year, dear lord, we got more out of Horton.

CJ and Hardy are both great but Hurney overpaid him by about 15 mill. His contract is worth about 20 mill more than any other Panther.

Did we need too? IDK but we got caught once again having the best DE in FA about to hit the market.

    • so the current Carolina Panthers are a team that is in a similar situation that the 2022 Carolina Panthers were in about this same time exactly 3 years ago. & after the 2022 season & missing the playoffs because of a last game of the season loss to the Tom Brady led Bucs  Carolina Panthers brass then thought hey you know what we are just a Qb away from taking that next step & becoming a playoff contender in 2023 .so of course that's what the Panthers proceeded to do when they traded up to the #1 overall pick in order todraft Bryce Young .& here is history repeating itself as it often does & the Carolina Panthers are once again in a close race at the end of the season with Tampa Bay for the NFCS title in 2025  it's took what 3 years now to get back to where we started to begin with prior to drafting Bryce Young  &so tell me once again who is really holding this team back ? ...just saying hRi

    • Well, looking at it now I would agree that he should cede some of his power and focus on being a leader of an entire NFL program and becoming a better strategist. And leave the details of implementing that to the people he has hired to work under him.  But I am just some guy that gets his info 3rd hand and works off of incomplete info, using assumptions to draw conclusions.
