Aren't we just putting Hakeem in the same position as we did Smitty all these years? It's just gonna be the same story. I know it has been said over and over but why cut Steve Smith? It saved us absolutely nothing this year. Hakeem can't do it all on his own.. he's not even as talented as Smith. Smitty and Hakeem would have been a perfect combination. Offense was our problem last season and a big part of that is Cam's lack of weapons. Now we just cut his best weapon and replaced him with a injury prone one. It'd be different if WR was our only problem, then we could just sign another WR or draft one in the first. Problem is we don't have any CBs, safeties, tackles, or a guard. Why not just keep Smitty one more year, sign Nicks, and then deal with WR next year? Either Getty is as stupid as he looks or he's way to smart for the common man to understand. With that said, I still support Gettleman, I'm just pissed about this particular decision.

Who's a 2?

Nicks, hopefully. If we don't sign Nicks then what the fug is left? At that point I would hope Gettlemen cuts some deal with Cam because next year is not going win over cam with the "talent", and protection, we've surrounded him with.

obviously it was personal so trying to apply logic or reason at this point is useless. Your points are valid. this is why I call bullcrap on the G-man urban legend of "just business".

then fine him or something, but he obviously didn't hold this team back from winning. You can't have a bunch of mice in the locker room

How old is Olsen? If this offense dips and his numbers go down look out! The declining TE will be let go ...just checked he is 29 so I guess we will keep him. That was close.

figure you haven't been heard enough in every thread so creating a thread restating your opinion was a good move?

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
