Sorry I don't have enough posts under my belt for this community. I was born and raised in Charlotte. I have been and always will be a Panthers fan. That's all the cred I should need. We went 12-4 despite Gettleman this year folks not because of him. He didn't really screw with the kitchen last year. So this year we will get to eat what he is serving.

Ok Folks here is what I propose... We had a team that with tweaks should have had back to back winning seasons if not a trip to the Super Bowl. Gettleman says we don't and can't know everything going on behind closed doors. Ok fine here is what we want. We will shut up (for now). Gettleman will deliver us an NFC championship this year, not 2015' not 2016, 2014. Gettleman is doing the right thing. Smitty's time was up. I love Smitty but the dude was 35 and a diva and lost a step, remember the Cardinals game, his drops changed the whole game. Munnerlyn sucked in coverage and dropped easy picks, im glad he is gone, it grinded my gears when we had other corners like Drayton play obviously better but yet Rivera let Capn start anyway, atleast we dont have to worry about that poo anymore.

Yea Mitchell was solid but with our front 7 intact, Harper will do just fine. The only complaint I have is not re signing Ginn. As far as all the O line players that left. Great! With the exception of Gross our O line was awful anyway and the guys that left are easily replaceable. Lafell was the definition of inconsistent, Hixon hardly ever saw the field.

Do you guys not realize we went 12-4 under Gettleman, won the NFCs, got a playoff bye and oh BTW did this when the Saints were legit. So its not like we coasted in a weak conference. Mark my words, Smitty leaving will be the best thing to ever happen to Cam. Remember the game when Smitty got injured, what happened? Cam actually improved and went through his reads!

You do know that Ryan Kalil is probably the best Center in the NFL, right?

AS much as it hurts, Hurney left us in CAP HELL. The only way to fix that is for the hard choices that are being made now. Look at the Raiders. When Mr. Davis passed away, he left his own team in a very similar situation. His son cut several aging high priced players and signed low cost average players. Now this season they were nearly $64 mil under the cap. If the do it right they can build a team that will compete.

 

Try to remember that before GM took over we were $16 mil over the salary cap last season. This year we had about $24 mil to play with until we signed Hardy to his Franchise tag. Its going to hurt this season. Just be prepared. GM inherited a huge mess.
