Cam having ankle surgery tomorrow: Breaking news

@AdamSchefter: Over past 3 seasons, Cam Newton has been sacked or hit while throwing or rushing 467 times, more than twice as many as any other QB.

Well consider he never throws the ball away, the sacks don't surprise me. Qbs are going to be hit, but hell, even pickles knew to throw out of bounds.

I just hate him missing some workouts and cardio.. 4 months is a long time for an athelete to take it easy. I expect Cam to have some trouble in the early season w the southern heat.

Wonder why this is just being done now?

Anyway... still trusting the brass... kinda

Minor surgery takes 4 months of recovery time ?

There is no "minor surgery" that has a 4 months recovery time. My dad had his hip replaced at 76 and recovered in six months.

That being said "recovery time" can be open to interpretation.

lol, yep guess this is Cams fault too.

Had nothing to do with poo they call a team that surrounds him.

Get Cam some weapons and I bet he's more likely to throw the ball away if he has to. But at the end of the day Cam's a playmaker, sacks are going to happen. If it wasn't for Cam's playmaking ability I'd guarantee you we wouldn't have been in the playoffs.

@josephperson: Panthers say Newton faces a four-month recovery from his surgery, which puts him right at the start of training camp.

That is correct, that  timeline puts Newton out until the start of training camp in late July, meaning he will miss organized team activities this spring, time he could use working with new receivers.
