Josh Morgan - WR?

ESPN 980 Washington D.C. reports the Panthers and 49ers are among six teams interested in free agent WR Josh Morgan.

The Panthers are being connected to every free-agent receiver at the moment. They badly need help with Tavarres King and Marvin McNutt currently atop the depth chart. Morgan is a solid blocker on the outside but hasn't been a productive receiver since 2009-2010 with the Niners. Morgan turns 29 in June.

I hope we sign him but I still don't like the approach. Just like last year signing wash-ups for Cam to throw to. We need to surround him with real weapons.

To be fair, Newton can turn the wash-ups into solid receivers cough Ginn cough..

Yeah, I know that. Just think what he could do with someone like Josh Gordon or Hakeem

Give it time, even though most people want to kill Gettleman he is trying to fix our money problems so we can afford someone like Nicks or Gordon in the future.

If you paid attention to our GM you would know not to hope for more for a few seasons because that is our only option as of right now. In a few years, when our cap is finally fixed, then we can be real players in free agency. Besides like he said, you build through the draft. Which is very true. Some of you need to learn football

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
