Other cornerback position?

Terrell Thomas has only had two acl injuries. Also, he did okay as a starter last year. He'd do well behind our front seven if guys like Melvin White can look good. And he's probably dirt fuging cheap right now, we can probably get him for what we paid for Cason. All we'd need to do is draft one of those bigger corners on day 2 and we'd be in good shape in the secondary.

Phillip or EJ? I wouldnt be mad with either.

The kid from Rice is who I had in mind.  EJ is a bit smaller, but I watched him in one game and was impressed .  I am seeing him in the 3rd round in some mocks.  He would be a great nickel.

We actually need a slot DB. Cason, White and Dockery is a good rotation outside. We need someone who can cover well from the slot.

My thoughts exactly.  I think it would actually be bad to bring in someone to take some time away from White who played every bit as good as any other Rookie CB last year and the last thing you want to do is put someone in front of him to take away from his on field time and hurt his development.  Now a nickel corner, absolutely, but honestly, right now, we're looking decent  in the secondary.  I still say, we will draft someone back there, but OT and WR will go much earlier.

Thomas also had an ACL injury at USC

Hopefully Melvin White will reach the potential that we believe that he can

Melvin White got burned so many times.

So did every single rookie CB in the NFL last season.  I honestly think he's not as favorably looked upon by some because of the fact that he's an UDFA.  I've said all along, he may not be Darelle Revis or Richard Sherman, but he has given me no reason to believe he can't be a good starter in the NFL.  Like I've said before, go and look at the stats for CB's drafted in last years draft and you'll see aside from maybe Dee Mlliner, he performed every bit as well as any of them, and even Milliner didn't blow him out of the water.
