Not saying they would. Point is for a guy making the transition from the Sun Belt to the NFL he did pretty well.

Sun Belt>CUSA. Look it up. They didn't get the bowl bids but the head to head record is undeniable. CUSA was the bottom feeder besides ECU last season.

I aplaud those who support Melvin White.

If we can add quality contributers with UFDAs, thats lights out stuff right there man. Advantage kind of stuff. Say what you want about how Gman handled Smith, but the guy is good at what he does.

Actually, I've said it before, but it really isn't that big a surprise from the Cajuns.  In the NFL right now, the Cajuns have Mike Adams, Bill Bentley, Charles Tillman, Ike Taylor, and Melvin White on NFL Rosters right now.   We may not be a Power Conference school, but we sure as hell know how to produce some NFL level defensive back talent.  This is also why I wasn't entirely surprised by his progress.

 I think Melvin  White is a keeper after he started 10 regular season games for us last year.. He finished with 47 tackles, one forced fumble, five passes defensed and two interceptions – including one returned for a touchdown

Amazing White went undrafted with his size and measurables. I was mocking White to us and saying he was a diamond in the rough all last off season. 

 

One to look for this year is Walt Aikens.
