My latest simulated mock

Recommended Posts

This is not what I would call ideal but I can see something like this happening.  I dont think GMan will reach too far and they way this one played out I didnt either.  I am sure this will get crucified due to not having a WR in the 1st or 2nd but the way the chips fell, there was no one to be had.

Enjoy.  Or not...

OT ZACK MARTIN

Benjamin was still on the board here but Martin is as close to a Plug and Play guy you will find at #28.  Beckham, Lee and Cooks were taken just before the Panthers picked.

G DAVID YANKEY

Gonna get crucified for there not being a WR yet but Yankey was here and all the WR were off the board.  Latimer was the closes but could not resist the Gahd.

WR MARTAVIS BRYANT

Finally a receiver.  Not as polished as the guys before him but he has a high ceiling.

WR ROBERT HERRON

Was somewhat surprised that he dropped to the 4th but I think it was good value here.

CB CHRIS DAVIS

Kick Six War Eagle lands in our lap.  Provides some help in the rotation and might be able to return kicks.

CB DONTAE JOHNSON

Good late round pickup.  Played CB and FS

OT JUSTIN BRITT

Good value in the 7th and gives us depth.  Was surprised he fell this far though.

Would like the first two picks but if Bryant is the best receiver we get out of this draft I'll be very disappointed. Would much prefer to trade a 2015 pick to move up a bit and get a better (and more pro ready) receiver. I think Bryant has upside but will need a lot of work. If we draft him I hope he is the second receiver we take.
