Put money on it.

I bet there will be a 4th round starter at WR in this draft.

I bet $100 there will be 12 day 1 starters at WR from this draft.

You willing to take that??

You know Day 1 is only the first round, right?

I only see us going WR once in the first three rounds. Many with go full GrrBeck, and not saying my pov is right, but if you oppose me, just try and think about it this way.. ive said this in several posts lol

We feature our defense. our defense is top notch, and will only become better because of the youth and continuity with Rivera. "Make our strnegths stronger". what helps a defense? an offense that is consistent, sustains drives, scores every posesson while still eating up the clock. EFFECIANT. <---- key word. we can still have a good offense without scoring every 30 seconds. some of you guys want that flash, kick ass, fast paced offense (stats). If thats what you want, then so be it, but to trash our GM for making these moves is retarded. heres why:

the recievers we had last year might of hindered what our offense was trying to do. Two WRs with dropsies, and an older HOF WR that was a shell of himself. wana overpay to keep em? or do would you rather bring in players who are more conistant, with hands, with toughness, that run good routes to help our offense be more consistant for much much cheaper?? ill take that any day! The guys we brought in are RELIABLE options for Cam that will be where they are supposed to be and catch what comes at them. they will help with conversions and sustain the drives we need to keep the defense off the field.

a tangent, if you dont read anything else, please:

For all we know, gettleman could be an aceboogie, who wants that high flying, score every 30 seconds type of guy. 1) Our current staff just went 12-4, running a conservative, defensive scheme overall. would you want an ignorant GM that says, "Yeah, fug that. im bringing in MY TYPE of guys, regardless of what you are trying to do!" or a GM who works with the coach and brings in players that will work with the current scheme.

That is why i think it is just completly ignoranty and reactionary to peg gettleman as this or that. We can only speculate after one season, where he had pretty much everyone pre installed, without him making many changes. We have a very, very little understanding of what gettleman is truley about...

back to the cardiovascular system. end of my 2AM rant break.

I'm just wait'n to see how things turn out.

I have faith that we'll be better than more expect. but I'm not expecting Super Bowl worthy.

Holding steady while righting the financial ship is the goal... and I think we could very well achieve that.

Here's hope'n.

I think Gettelmen double dips at the Wr's spot.

1. He signed older vets to short deals not long term solution.

2. He takes what the draft gives him and WR is the deepest position this year.

3. He is ready to overhaul the position and give Cam weapons to grow with. And Gettelmen loves continuity.

4. Drafting WR is cheaper then signing new ones every year.

5. We had the 26th ranked passing attack. He wants to improve that.

I'll take that bet.

There will not even be 12 receivers drafted in the first round (day 1)

I have no problems taking.money from the ignorant.

No the bet isn't Wr's drafted in the 1st round. It's 12 Wr being day 1 starters from this draft.

So ignorant is thinking day 1 starters only come from the 1st round.

To explain this better (for you) if 12 Wr from this draft start in the 1st game of the season. You will be sending money to my pay pal account.

And before you take this bet Claw. A little info for you.

There were 9 to 10 rookie WR's who started last year (from a weak WR class) day 1 of the regular season. And Any WR who made the top 3 WR spots is considered a starter.

Hopkins

Allen

Hunter

Patterson

Dabson

Austin

Kembrell Topkins

Robert woods

Marlon Brown

Terrance Williams

All these guys I'm sure started on there teams day 1 of the regular season. Again in a weak WR draft not like this year. Which is the best and deepest in decades.

Kenny Stills (not sure if he started day 1 thoe)

Bailey (not sure if he started day 1)

Are you sure you want to take this bet?

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
