My neighbor set up house on fire...

My insurance are being dicks, they want me to pay $2.5k deductible. Detective called me and told me that my neighbor is getting arrested, he's under criminal investigation and that's why report is incomplete. He said my insurance should pay for everything and charge me nothing. If my insurance have any questions they should personally call him. He pretty much told me that my insurance is trying to get out from paying by lying to me. Nice insurance .

Wow so you're saying she was pounding on the door and you resisted the urge to assume it was someone trying to break in and shoot through it?

I let my 90lbs German Shepherd lose, he was ready to pounce the second I open the door. I saw that it was my neighbor so I told him to stay down.

I don't think a detective can tell your insurance not to charge you a deductible. What happened to your neighbors insurance?

He can tell my insurance that it's ok to pay for my house and then get money from neighbors insurance because it's 100% neighbor fault but they just can't put it into report yet because it's ongoing investigation.

Neighbors insurance will not pay because police report is not ready. He also can't tell neighbors that their son is gonna be 100% arrested until report is done.

  • 9 months later...

He was charged with Arson and his court date is today at 9:30am in Superior Court. How can I check the verdict?

Throw a going away party. Fill your yard with balloons & decorations. Put a big "Enjoy the big house!!!" sign on your house. Stand in the driveway and wave when his parents return from court.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
    • my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.
