Dang wish he signed with the Jets or us. But I still see the Jets going defense in thw firsg because Ryan is a defensive guy and they have worked to improve their offense the whole offseason and they need another corner. At least I hope.

Jets need weapons. Even if they signed Rice, I think they would draft a WR anyway.

Nothing has changed.

They can get a CB later.

If he was going to get a 1 year contract then obviously Seattle is a highly visible successful organization.  Wilson is a good quarterback and it is a good situation.  I can understand why he would want to be there.

I can also understand why we were not overly excited about bringing him in.  Let him prove himself this year on their dime and we can always do something next year if we think he would be a good pickup.  Honestly I think we are done with picking up free agency wide receivers and am looking to the draft to pick up the last pieces..

I think much of what you say is true.Jordan admitted that he initially thought he had to do it all in order for the bulls to win and tried to put everything on himself.  It was only when he learned that he had to make everyone else around him better that they started winning.  I would lay that development on Jackson who helped him see that.  So it was Jordan helping Pippen and Kerr and the rest be the best they could be that made the difference.

When did Jordan learn that not everyone can do everything at such a high level like he could in basketball?  When he tried to play baseball and couldn't make the double A roster.  He was humbled enough to learn that even great effort isn't always enough to excel.

In many ways it is the same thing that Cam has had to learn and I think he turned the corner with that last year.

Good points.

And I'm sure you remember, that Jordan actually played baseball AFTER he won his first three titles in basketball (if you were alluding to that; I don't know), though he certainly continued incorporating the team aspect into his game during the second three titles.

And as you mentioned Phil Jackson as coach: I feel Gettleman, as GM has positively influenced Rivera and the entire team in regards to winning. And based off what we're hearing and seeing now, Cam may go back to being a prolific/more prolific passer with the emphasis on pass catching TE's and wide receivers lately. So We'll see?
