Would be happy with Lomu or Iheanachor at 19. Fano is intriguing but I don't think he makes it.

II see it this way: We have to look at long-term needs and current depth. We have filled some key spots with players on one-year contracts. I firmly believe that they intend to pay Bryce some big bucks next year. That means you cannot hope that your rookies in 2027 can fill the spots vacated by the veterans you could not afford to re-sign. We need to consider the cap and the fact that the need to start a rookie is not viewed as a positive by coaches and general managers, but they value first contracts--so it is a delicate balance. I think they have to look at the cap by position--"Can we afford a $50m QB and a $100m OL? That is half the cap, before you pay your WRs and RBs and TEs. They need to start getting younger on the OL as well. I am not suggesting that we draft OT in round 1, but we could and I would get it. RT on a 1-year deal, they may have intel about Ickey (who was not the best LT, to be honest) and 32-year old Moton is on a bad wheel. Now if you go by Morgan's history, you can almost tell what position we are going to address with the first pick by noting the positions he has not focused on in free agency. DT, considering the lack of performance by those not named Derrick Brown and the loss of Robinson, is screaming to be addressed with a top player. Wharton is not an early down DT (DE if you want to get technical) and our LBs need to be clean--they were not in 2025. Look for a DT early. I also think we will address ILB (pass covering Will) on day 2. The other day 2 pick will be an OT, in my view. Do not rule out CB. We are thin there too, and Jackson is in his final year. I am not sure that we love Smith-Wade. Some crackhead on here talked about moving him to S----stay tuned. Hopefully, a team wanting Ty Simpson will move up and offer us a pick or two to move back. DT WILB OT OC QB (you heard it here 337th--but this pick could come sooner than you think.

Chad Reuter of NFL.com 4-round mock draft

Bryce had some bad games, but he had some good ones as well (and this is coming from a Bryce skeptic). I think it's a little simplistic to put all the offensive woes on Bryce, you also should be looking at O-line play, receiver play, RB and TE play, and also coaching. There's no way when I look at the offense in it's totality am I ready to say that a so-so to bad offense was all on Bryce, and, I also can't say that we don't need to upgrade any position on offense, save Tetairoa McMillan (who also wasn't perfect) and maybe the starting guards and T-mo. -

if Sadiq is on the board then the OTs probably aren’t so it’s potentially an irrelevant discussion Mauigoa, Freeling, Fano (who has real length concerns). Mike Renner has said he’s had multiple NFL people tell him Kadyn Proctor is going way higher than people think he is. (Btw why don’t we get more tidbits like this posted here anymore? Juan you’re slacking) at what point does TE1 instant contributor outshine OT4/5/6 redshirt season for you? The team obviously isn’t worried that drafting a TE is going to make Bryce look good and all their dumb Huddle opinions look bad (like people here, if the point wasn’t clear enough) so that’s a more pertinent discussion point. I do see the value of taking a redshirt OT-but it’s not going to outpace the value of taking a TE1 plug and play impact starter, especially at a position that has proven tough to pin down.

I'm not against grabbing a right tackle but I think the tight end helps elevate the offense more this season if you're trying to make a run for a championship specifically Sadiq. He adds a matchup nightmare component we don't have we have only one full-time offensive player that runs a 4-3 and that's legit then he shouldn't be around much longer to have that type of player at tight end is huge

Offense is bad do to poor QB play, they not drafting a QB this year(Bama QB will be there for the taking) but is a top target next year in a better QB draft unless BY9 take some huge steps -
The emphasis on the age and stage of career these FA players are in is becoming pretty clearly a policy. I don’t remember us making that a core value, until Morgan.

Panthers signing Packers LT Rasheed Walker
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I enjoyed this, from a Packers perspective. I think people are getting out over their skis on the enthusiasm over what we actually will get. I mean, it was a great move that we needed to make, but I see people talking about no falloff, there are high expectations. This guy isn’t sugar coating, but it isn’t necessarily all bad either. On the level of Walker’s play, he takes the view that it has fallen off, but has played very well before. I guess it epends on which one shows up, and I am hoping the old ‘change of scenery’ benefit could be in play. -
Tarheels haven't been relative in the last 10 years

Loyd asset, Phillips asset, Morigh asset, Warton asset, Bobby brown III, you spent over 100 mil on Jayce. Flip to the offense some guards.. you haven't spent on offense or really drafted anyone outside the first round picks. leggette was a bad pick so just throw that in the trash and yes the offense is still worse than the defense. I know how much you all love defense. But the fact is the defense is in much better shape than the offense... You have legit 3-4 players who have been or could make the pro bowl on defense.. on offense.. maybe tet? And one of the 2 guards. So yes offense needs more firepower to get over the hump no matter what you think about Bryce.

You're on point... -
You really want MJ recruiting? Lol did you see what happened when he picked players for the hornets? I hope MJ gets into recruiting for them lol. You just want his money not his talent evaluation skills.

BREAKING: Panthers have interest in Deebo Samuel

Mods. How long we allowing this? -
What does that matter if you have spent tons of assets and money on defense. Look at where the majority of the cap is it's on defense. You literally just added a pro bowler and a potential top 15 pass rusher.. that's more a sure thing than a draft pick. Who cares if you spend draft picks on offense in that case

BREAKING: Panthers have interest in Deebo Samuel
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
True or not, I would only even consider him for a lot less money than he made this year. He has turned 30. And had that one fantastic year but his usual production isn’t really all that great. Looked at his yards per reception and they have been in decline annually for a bit. Fell off from SF 2024 13.x ypc to Wash 2025 10.1 ypc. 10.1 ypc is Bryce’s kind of number, so I wouldn’t think it likely to increase. If he is cheap enough and they think they will use him, I guess I am okay with it. -

There was a post on FB saying the same thing days ago. The problem is is that there's no credible source for the rumor, if any.
