  1. Past hour
  2. NFL game performance isn't cumulative. Week 15 Bryce isn't the same as Week 1 Bryce. And i gotta go back again to the should / will distinction. My opinion of Bryce is that he's not good enough. My expectation of what's gonna happen is that he's still our starter through at least next season. None of that is statistical.
  3. Millionaire crying about not having fun. Try my job for a week. Every night I travel to the gentlemen's club. Clock in. Go to the girls dressing room and find them outfits, massage them when they get stressed. Help them in and out of the showers. Towel them, rub oil on them etc. None of y'all could last a day in my shoes. You don't see me crying.
  4. Sounds like he's approaching the inflection point of personal risk/ reward. $55 mil for another season? Crazy money but he should already have generational wealth and he's probably realized that winning in Cincinnati ain't gonna happen.
  5. I was damn proud of that thread too Hell, it wasn't even a pro Bryce thread (which it wouldn't be given that I'm not pro-Bryce). Just a minor treatise on why I don't go by stats. Got a few trollish responses from some of the usual suspects but it wasn't anywhere near as contentious as the average thread gets anymore. I'm mystified
  6. Jamarcus Russell got 3 years, Ryan Leaf 3 years, Jake Locker 3 years, Gabbert 3 years, etc., etc. I could go on. Those players didn’t improve so they were cut. If you think Bryce is the same qb as his rookie season then I don’t know what to say tbh. You’re clearly wrong
  7. I didn't think the Rams game was a stellar performance. Like I said it was a good performance, but not one I would put in front of 31 other starting QBs and tell them that's the pinnacle of NFL QB performance. He was responsible for 2 TDs in truth, but he gets credit for 3. The screen to Chuba was all Chuba after the catch. He looked stellar in Atl, he looked good against the Rams. Different swagger, different feel, different command of the offense. Good performance, not a stellar one, IMO.
  8. I'll rehash / summarize the breakdown I gave earlier. McMillan vs Olave: probably a push (could become an advantage as soon as next season, but not just yet) Legette vs Pretty Much Anybody: Yeah, that's a loss, arguably a big one. Jalen Coker vs Dante Pettis: Probably a push if I'm being objective. I'd take Coker but I can't say people outside the Panthers fanbase would. Our TE by Committee vs Juwan Johnson: Another loss Hubbard or Dowdle individually vs Kamara: Again, probably a push if I'm objective. Kamara might not be as durable as he used to but our guys are younger and neither of them made it through a full season healthy this year either. Hubbard / Dowdle as a combo vs Kamara and his backup: This could be an advantage (would be our first if it were) but only if Dowdle were at full strength and I don't think he is yet. Whoever's Playing Center This Week vs Fortner: Yeah, loss. Puts us down by three at this point. Our Left Side (Lewis, Ickey) vs Their Left Side (Radunz, Banks): This is the first comparison where I feel confused giving us the advantage, but it's not a blowout win, and not enough to put us ahead, especially when you move to... Our Right Side (Moton, Corbett?) vs Their Right Side (Ruiz, Fuaga): At full strength, we win. Sadly we're not at full strength and haven't been all year. So again, loss.i FINAL SCORE: - 1 win - 4 losses - 3 even We lose by three. If you disagree on these, show me where and why.
  9. yep. Sounds like he’s made the final conversion to a real panthers fan.
  10. That’s the unique Bryce only scale of improvement . He isn’t getting #1 pick leeway. He is getting we gave up the farm for him leeway (which there are very few comps of). there is no major progression. Team around him has gotten better. Bryce has been a very consistent player in all honesty.
  11. Well, yeah, if you’re the #1 overall pick you get some leeway, especially when you’ve shown major progression from year 1.
  12. Because guys slightly worse than Bryce or slightly better…..don’t get to be starter vs 3 straight seasons. They all come and go. Thats how he is the worst starting QB since he was drafted. Players worse or close to him….go away and he remains. so is he better than JJ? Sure. But JJ will go away. Just like a Spencer Rattler. So they don’t get to compete for the worst over a window of time….where they only exist for a season. so you could say Cam Ward is the worst QB in 2025 Bryce remains the worst from 2023 to date. Anyone as bad is gone. and Ward’s draft status likely won’t give him Bryce’s time. Bryce get extra for being way more than a #1 overall blunder. He was multiple.
  13. This does not make sense because some worse qbs are no longer in the NFL and there are new starting qbs that are not as good as Bryce. How is he 32/32 when Cam Ward and Mccarthy are clearly worse?
  14. BYU vs GT looks like it'd be a good game in general. Looking forward to that (plus the pop tart shenanigans)
  15. What’s fantastic about 57.6 comp pct, 11 td, 15 ints, 67.5 passer rating?
  16. Trevor Lawerence is not having a better year. Also, you got the wrong color for Lawerence’s int%. You also marked green for total TO/PG when it was tied.
  17. That's what he gets trying to play GM, and that's what Duke Tobin and Mike Brown get for essentially letting their QB make personnel decisions. Cry me a River, Joe.
  18. At this point more threads are just creating more spats. We've got 4 more days until we get answers. Just wait it out and then resume.
  19. Today
  20. Philp Rivers is returning? (how did I miss that news?)
  21. U Has a whole thread about why I don't go by stats but apparently it was deleted. Don't know why. As to the "other guy" he only said he's watched all the games and you didn't believe him. You now state that you "took a look at this across a WIDE variety of overall metrics and statistical groups that should give an idea about overall play and some potential aggravating factors associated with their play". That's a lot broader claim than he made. Should i believe you? That might sound snarky, but that's pretty much how you dismissed his argument, so hey... And yes, I've made counter arguments. You don't accept them as valid. I don't accept your stat based argument either, but I've made an effort to explain why beyond just saying "well you're wrong because...stats". Bottom Line: You still believe Murray will be valued and starting somewhere next year. I have my doubts, but even if he does get another shot that doesn't guarantee he's gonna be any better. I'm comfortable waiting and seeing. Will he be better than Bryce? Don't think so, but admittedly unless he's a Panther, won't really care either. I definitely care about Bryce, but I'm not a whole lot more optimistic on that front than I am about Murray.
  22. The notion that we have inferior weapons has been disproven multiple times this season. We have a young and raw group but they are no doubt talented. I like their potential. The Saints before beating us in BOA had one win on the season. We do not have an inferior roster to them. There is absolutely no excuse to lose to that team.
  23. You almost need guys to have their brains oddly wired in a bad way…..for them to make boatloads of cash and not walk away when the injury bug starts knocking hard. I mean Luck and Luke had one thing in common. They are very smart humans. Probably too smart for the NFL.
