Been here since the Coliseum days. Hornets were the first pro team I ever rooted for. If they're ever going to get out of the gutter they have to establish a culture. They are trying to do that. I have no idea if it will be successful but it's a start.

I don’t think I'd go that far but there is definitely legitimate reason to ask how much he actually values winning and being great as a basketball player. He is very easily distracted with off the court stuff. This has been a public criticism of people like LeBron James with some of the newer generations of "stars". And it is 1000% valid and needed to be said. All I can say is I hope this is the year. If it is it will be apparent fairly early on. But I get the sense if the same themes continue as the upcoming season progresses the FO could look to move him before the trade deadline. It would suck for a multitude of reasons and I don't want to see it happen but if it did it would be on LaMelo and LaMelo alone because they've given him the keys and are finally putting pieces around him. If he wants to be a great basketball player and win he will be here and do what is necessary for the team to be successful. If not well....

I'd like to see better center depth but overall a great trade to say the least. Sexton also follows the clear value the FO is placing on culture. But he is on an expiring. Still gives us options going forward. I feel like there's another corresponding move or two in the future. I'm actually excited to see this new group together. At least the team is trying.

That would leave the Hornets one roster spot to address the center position… (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (4) G - Sexton, Knueppel, McNeeley, Smith (3) F - Miller, Green, Okogie, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (2) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner We could open one extra roster spot by waiving Okogie.

I think Cerrato will surprise some folks. The last two players the Canes have selected that were PPG players as freshmen were Jackson Blake and Bradly Nadeau. Cerrato’s in pretty good company as a PPG producer as a freshmen. He’s also a fantastic skater. Sure, he’s an overager but I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s centering the 4th line in a couple years.

Burns sounds good as a Ghost replacement but not much else.

LaMelos attitude and effort is a stench on this franchise. He could be better than the current MVP (like light years better) if he gave a fug. He's basically everything people claimed Cam was. I think the reason a lot of people want him gone is because they understand what he could be but isn't.

This. To me its: slavin - Eckblad or Anderson chatty - Boom Burns - Walker ghost is nice but he just doesn’t play defense and it out of position waaay too much.

As much as the team likes Burns, I just don’t think it makes much sense. Not without at least one more move to ship Ghost off or something.

Rodgers is too polarizing to get the grand send off that Manning got. And there is that thing that seems to be a part of being a GB quarterback that no one knows when youre really done. Jets, Pitt, ??Bears??, ...

If it ever got out that the outcomes of games were rigged, the NFL would lose fans by the millions. I do not see the risk being worth the reward. If it were rigged, a lot of people would know and someone would come forward with the proof. Just a conspiracy theory...However, that is not to say the refs don't have biases. Ghost and Burns both fighting to QB the PP and both prone to costly turnovers 5-on-5. I do not want to see that line ever together on the ice. I think Burns drops to the 2nd pair and Walker stays with Ghost.

Vegas and Marner are in a pickle, if they can't complete the sign and trade with Toronto. Interesting to see what happens with that, Vegas would need to cut around 9m in cap space to make the signing possible and that's with them making no other changes to the team.

Only thing that matters is that he reported to the team with his family while he was wearing team gear.
