It can go that way too. Mine aren't so great either. Both of my MCLs are gone and both should probably be scoped to clean up some floating cartilage issues. I was told by a sports medicine doctor a decade ago that I'll probably have to have at least one knee replacement by the time I'm 50. I'm 43 now but honestly they're holding up better than I expected. The first hour or so of the day sucks but once I get limbered up I'm alright. Either that or I'm just used to it. LOL

He's a top 5/6 RT in the league. Base it on stats, advanced metrics..etc He's top 5 for most I would think.
-
Sink or swim for our QB.
-
Nah man, they are shot for life. I'm down almost 100 from my weight in school and my knees suck so bad.
-
I don't really think that's the trade though. That money can be spent on anything. We have to decide to pay Icky. We could have let Moton walk next summer and draft his replacement. Icky could slide over and play right side maybe. There was flexibility. Now we have a gajillion dollars in our offensive line, on a roster that's depleted basically everywhere else. And we're depending on a guy past 30 to stay healthy for 2 years so it's worth it? It just doesn't seem like a good move from a risk management perspective.
-
Morgan just keeps disappointing. should have just ran the year and see how his knee holds up.
-
To be fair, you can't do any worse than 32nd out of 32 since Tepper bought the team. You or me could've been calling the shots and we couldn't have done any worse than last.
-
AT trade should be completed soon, today at some point most likely.
-
While basically not practicing. These things usually continue progressing as long as the guy keeps playing. Do you really think grappling with other jumbo super athletes for 60 minutes once a week is improving chronic knee issues? Let's just be realistic here. He will get some improvement with his knees once he stops playing and sheds 75 pounds. As long as he keeps playing and carrying 300+ pounds they're gonna keep getting worse. That's just the reality of life for a biological creature.
-
Well wallow in your misery together, I guess. I think Dan has made some nice moves since taking over and we seem headed in the right direction. Rebuilt OL/WR rooms and now DL seems on the uptick. I’ll just let y’all go on pretending the extension $ would magically net us a Penei Sewell-caliber RT this offseason.
-
Dude is an elite level RT. He was 3rd in 3rd down pressure rate allowed and top 10 in pretty much every single other stat including advanced ones among RT's for last season.
-
Vikings seem like a perfect fit honestly. I'm sure he wouldn't mind going back. He's spent his whole life there.

You know how air chair football managers are around here. They all know better. Just no one in the NFL has picked up on their incredible acumen yet.

Panthers possibly trading Thielen?
PleaseCutStewart replied to philit99's topic in Carolina Panthers
Can't wait to hear the return is a 7th round pick swap or something worthless like that... -
A considerable turn for the worst? Seriously? How do you figure? He played very well and only missed one game due to his knee. And he likely would have played that one had we still been in the playoff hunt. I'm sorry, but you're reaching here.

58.2m over the next three years with 54.3m of it being guaranteed. so my bad it's actually 93.2% that's guaranteed.
-
huh? If Thielen stays here this year, I'd bet he takes less than 10% of his snaps lined up outside, and I'm being very generous with that 10% T-Mac, XL, Coker, Renfrow, and Horn I think are all more likely to be lined up outside on any given play than Thielen would be at this point in his career. This is all about Renfrow as he's the Thielen replacement if we trade him. If we're not confident about Renfrow's health, this is a non starter for the team to even discuss.
-
Based on our past actions the answer isn't comforting.
-
getting rid of the most reliable wr young has is a total panther move
-
Historically speaking, they sure seem less capable than many DIII programs. I really don't understand when Panthers fans pretend like this has been a competent organization. We've lost more games than any other team since Tepper bought this franchise. That's just the reality of the situation.

I'm cautiously optimistic but I'm hedged against last year's week 1 repeat. If its miserable at least I'll probably win something. -
You do know that most NFL players have to manage chronic wear-and-tear-related injuries once they get into their late 20s, right? This isn't unusual. There's a difference between long-term management and dealing with a major injury. Do you think they'd have paid him this much if they hadn't had the knee thoroughly examined and were comfortable with what they found? Honestly?
